Mario's Italian Kitchen

Food is delicious. Service was the worst I've had.... probably ever (and I was a server for 5+ years). Go for the food, prepare to patient if Pat is your server. Just don't expect to have a great serving experience. Hit or miss on service depending on who you get.

No clue what the good reviews are about! Had the crab pasta for $20 and it tasted like reheated Tuna Helper! The pizza came out 15 minutes later and was better, but that's not saying much. Poor service, overpriced unimpressive food...sad face...

Good pizza. Sloooooooow and inattentive servers. We were one of two tables, so it wasn't like they were busy. 4-5 staff, but no one paid attention. Had leave table to get refills, silverware, etc.

Cute little find that we didn’t know was in Watertown, it has a great atmosphere, and we ended up there on a night with live music which was neat, but between two the waitress could not remember who ordered what salad or entre which is no big deal, but halfway through my crab spaghetti I had to stop eating it, due to picking shells out of nearly every bite. Then within an hour started experiencing the worst stomach cramps I’ve felt in a long time. Not sure if it was old or what the deal was, but I don’t think we’ll be taking that risk again.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight! A group of 12 can be a bit overwhelming to anyone but Kaylee rocked it! She was attentive, helpful and on it! Thank you Mario’s for a great dinner!

Amazing food from a guy who actually lived in Italy! His parents recently moved here from Italy and his mom bakes all the breads. Incredible authentic Italian food that's worth the drive from anywhere in the metro. Its rare to see the Chef come out into the dining room to interact with their guests not just to see how the food is, but to get to know them and thank them for coming in. I saw Mario do just that and visited all the tables that were there when we were. Have yet to catch Karaoke on a Saturday night though. One of these days! This place is definitely on my families favorites list.

Mario's is such a hidden gem! The food is the best, most authentic Italian we've found in the Twin Cities. Favorites are the Tortellini di Venezia and the Penne Arrabiata and of course the cannoli!

So once again Mario’s got my weird order EXACTLY right. Best pizza I’ve had. Period.
Too bad the Michelin people don’t visit the flyover states because this place is star-worthy. Seriously.

We wish they offered different beers, bud light, miller light etc. Not everyone likes specialty beers. But pizza and pasta are amazing!

Great atmosphere. Terrific food and service. Will definitely be returning. Chef/Owner is a great guy who cares about the community, his customers and his employees. I recommend giving Mario's a try for sure.
