Usually not too busy, will step inside here if I want a change of scenery or to get away from the chaos of the farmers market on the weekends. I like doing work here but sometimes the music is too loud and I can’t focus, but coffee is fine (I like the cold brew) and the staff is chill (not that chatty though—which I don’t mind)

Cute spot right across the street from the farmer’s market. The ambiance is nice, cool getaway in the hot summer.
The barista behind the bar was really helpful and cheerful. The one at the cash register less so 🤷♂️
Three things that could be improved:
1) came in intending to buy a bag of coffee, but all their coffees had ‘best by’ dates, similar to grocery stores. I like experimenting with how a coffee tastes over time and was disappointed that I had to order online to get an actuate roast date.
2) Drinks were nice, though my cortado was over extracted. I was really excited to taste the brightness that came through with the MPLS blend but it was really overshadowed by that bitterness.
3) Cleanliness - we came with our toddlers and so wanted to use the high chairs. As we were doing so, someone who was cleaning the trash right next to the high chair we were going to use put the trash lid on top of it. We cleaned it ourselves. Later, they covered the trash bin with the collection tray (for dirty cutlery), so we couldn’t access that either.
Overall, promising spot, with room for improvement. Looking forward to trying their coffee bags at home at a future date.

We're in Texas and got the chance to taste this coffee thanks to Ben & Bruce! Delicious and hands down top notch beans! Me and the wife really have enjoyed this coffee! Thanks again y'all!

So the coffee here is ok but it's pretty spendy and the cup sizes are small. I'm giving it only 2 stars because there's one guy that works in there and he always looks mad or down and won't acknowledge you when asking him things, not even a hello back.i don't think he likes his job much and I do hope he finds happiness but you can't ignore someone when your job involves talking to people. EDIT: so I gave this place another try and actually really like the coffee now! I've been going quite a bit now and there seems to be new workers that are very kind and take care making the coffee.

The drinks were fine. It was me and my wife's first time checking it out. The barista wasn't very friendly and gave us a vibe that he didn't want be there which killed the mood.

Pastry was good. Coffee was not. I ordered a small plain latte and it was very bitter. The small cup was barely 3/4 full. More like a cortado...

Again, I'm giving four stars to a business that serves five star coffee. The four stars is that the building seems to have a ventilation problem. And let's face it; it smells funny in there. But my wife and I still go to pick up a coffee because the expresso drinks are top-notch. We just drink them outside.

They do NOT serve food anymore and charge ALOT for a latte especially the craft lattes. The staff is great but every once in a while I get a barista that doesn’t even say a word to me. Not to compare them to salty tart but I wish they kept the same vibe, food and creativity. I met the owner though and he is wonderful!!!

I consistently tell people that this is one of the best places to get coffee in the twin cities. The espresso (MSP or STP) are both incredibly well pulled every time. It's easy to make one yummy drink, it's hard to do it every time and yet True Stone consistently makes delicious drinks. Great atmosphere as well. I've missed third wave coffee shops like this since moving back from Berlin. So yeah, I'd recommend going here.

I had very high hopes for this roaster based on the other reviews here, but was pretty disappointed. I ordered a latte in the cafe which was very average. Forgettable. I brought a bag home and after a cup or two I thought it was really below average. I realized the bag was roasted over a month before I bought it! For a roaster that prides themselves on fresh beans I was very disappointed.
