Hip, cool, great environment, delicious coffee. Not a lot of food if you need a meal.

Love the place and the coffee taste. Favorite coffee in St.Paul, MN

Coffee was fine, but the service was terrible for me, a first time customer. It seemed like they didn't want us there. They were not warm and friendly. Being able to browse the records was nice, but I won't be back. And I've actively told my friends not to go, so they dont experience the same cold shoulder, awkwardness that took place.

Really enjoyed our visit. My daughter and I like to try new coffee places and this one on the east side of St. Paul caught my attention. I grew up not too far away and I am thrilled to see the east side make a comeback. The location is convenient - easy street parking. The place isn't overly big but decent seating available inside and they have several small tables and a gazebo set up outside.
I'm not a big fan of lattes. To me it's a milk drink with a splash of espresso. I really want to drink the coffee. However, I couldn't pass up the polyphia with it's interesting combination of flavors. It was FABULOUS. Often a latte doesn't deliver on it's promised flavors and just tastes like sweet milk. I could taste the lemon, the cardamom and best of all, the creamy, delicious peanut butter. My daughter had one, too, and agreed it might be the best we've ever had.
Also, they have a small breakfast menu in addition to really tempting bakery goods (from sweet to savory). We had both - breakfast tacos, breakfast sandwich, coffee cake and a kouign-amann. All very, very good.
I can't wait to return and planning on the polyphia again!

Caydence is by far one of my new favorite places in the Twin Cities! Not only do they have some of the best specialty coffee I have had (I got the Polyphia per the barista's recommendation), they also have one of the most interesting and fun selection of records I have seen! AND the prices are great. I was able to find three of my new favorite records for just over $30 total.
However, the goods and services are not the only things that will have me coming back. The staff here is AMAZING! The owner, Matt, is a delight and even cooler then I imagined he'd be. Great energy, very helpful, talkative, and overall a great addition to my day. To top it all off, the vibe is lovely, somehow being both relaxing and energizing. Plus they play fantastic music, of course.
Five full stars!

Fantastic & much needed all-ages music venue with friendly staff! We need more of this.

What a cute shop! Great vinyl options and great service. There was a local artist selling some of their work when I visited, which was a fun surprise. Highly recommend a visiting!
