Classic! Great sandwiches, good soup, fresh coffee, espresso drinks, ice cream and all around great atmosphere. Always has vegan and gluten free options. If you frequented Acoustic Cafe in Winona, Menomonie or Eau Claire, you'll love this place too.

Good sandwiches for a great price. I ordered a ham and salami sandwich and it was great. I think you'd have a hard time finding a better value as well. I got my sandwich to go but the restaurant itself seemed like a really nice casual, relaxed atmosphere. Service was very friendly as well.

Best sandwich I’ve had for as long as I can remember. Split a whole sandwich, which was plenty, with salami, turkey, and all the toppings. The bread was amazing and so warm with oil and herbs to top it off. Great customer service as well, wish I lived near by!

Cold Hard Ice Cream!
The 2nd visit we had sandwiches. I had the Combo Sandwich and it was pretty tasty. It was served warm. I think I will ask for the cold version next visit.
Popular place!

So, to start into it, the restuarant isn't fancy, pretty average, but the food tasted amazing! It has a ton of flavor, and was delicious! It truly feels like a cuisine. But the food tasted better before covid, buts it's still appetizing! Thank you Hogan!

Delicious hot hogies with super soft and tasty bread! I highly recommend coming in, getting some incredible food, and support a small business that has amazing service and staff!

A family favorite, great hoagies, soups, and ice cream.

The food here is great for what it is. You essentially can only get one sandwich (with different types of meat) but that one sandwich is very good. They have a rotating selection of soups and ice creams as well that are also reliably good.
It's a shame that the service here is absolutely terrible though. I have waited upwards of half an hour for a single sandwich here before, and the wait is reliability 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, you can see the workers lounging around, chatting, and not looking at all concerned with their orders or the people waiting for them.
So if you have a while to devote to a good sandwich and soup, I recommend it, but don't count on getting out of there quickly.

My husband and I were very excited to try this place before my niece's swim meet. According to the reviews it was fast, hot, and delicious, exactly what we were looking for. Going into a historic place was quite charming and the prices were decent so we had high hopes. Ordering was fairly simple and the staff nice. That was the end of the pleasantness. After that we waited for 30 minutes for our food while watching people who ordered "to go" that came in after us get served well before us. I suppose I should mention that we did not order a lot of food... 1 half sandwich, 1 whole sandwich, and a cup of soup. My mother was also along and ordered nothing but a cup of soup and had to go to the counter demanding her soup 10 minutes after we had gotten our food. Mind you, she ordered before us. And it was literally just a cup of soup. This was incredibly frustrating in and of itself, but seeing as we had a time limit, it was especially upsetting. Would I go there again? Probably not, but I understand why others who live in that town would.

Food is fine as usual. The take out system is very bad though. They also can't tell what kind of chips that you order if you get the miss Vicky's brand. The last two times I ordered online I spent over 20 minutes waiting to get my food that I ordered 20 minutes before even showing up just to get the wrong thing. Do better. Your food isn't good enough to have bad experiences while getting it.
