I love that you always get a bunch of fries not just a little order but almost a meal in itself in fries with every order.

It's not open a whole lot which is a major downside for me, AMAZING food overall solid place, I wish that it was open more but I understand why it's not. Grilled cheese is the BEST here

Oh Don's how I love thee. Let me count the fries.
This is exactly what a small-town diner should feel like. Amazing grilled cheese and Texas toast, great milkshakes. Sure the hours are wacky and the wait can be long, but it's so worth it.

Don's is THE place to go in Morris. I went to college there, and one of the things we talked about in orientation is the amazing toast at Don's! Their thick homemade bread is simply the best. Get it as toast, grilled cheese, or French toast. If you're lucky, they might even have a loaf or two for sale.

I had the best grilled cheese in MN! Friday nights you can either find it bustling or quiet. 2 Fridays in a row and we had both experiences. The employees were great.

This is a must-stop any morning we’re In Morris. They bake their own sourdough bread and slice it thick for delicious toast or French toast. Our son gets the plate-sized pancake. I usually get an omelet with toast. Hubby loves the grilled hash browns. Really the full breakfast line-up is available. Read the local papers while you wait. The coffee’s good, and they have more varieties of tea than many places. Consider creating your own Italian soda from the yards-long line of syrup bottles. College Move In Day is “breakfast all day.” Yum!

The one star is for the waitress! She was really nice. Food wise Blah. If you eat here expect it to be reheated frozen food! We bought 4 burgers, ranging in price from $3.99 for a simple burger to over $7.00 for a Don's special. Fries were an additional $2.99 (that's for a handful on the burger plate, an actually side of fries is more) or $3.99 for the curly fries. and $4.99 for a side of cheese curds. Maybe they made the buns there I couldn't tell. My rolls that I make from frozen dough have more taste. The burger patties were obviously pre made and frozen because they had that freezer burned taste. There was no color on them at all, made us wonder if they had been microwaved. The regular fries were pretty good but the curly ones, well there wasn't a curl in the bunch and they were so over cooked and tasted burnt as did the cheese curds. The lettuce and onion on the burgers were shredded which meant they just fell off. When we mentioned it to the waitress, that it was just reheated frozen food she just gave us a sad smile and nodded. Wish we would have known how bad it was because the $40 we spent could have bough us better food at DQ! I went there based on the reviews. Maybe the best thing to do is just have toast? and a malt but skip the real food.

Great food and excellent service! There are places I've been to in large cities that don't compare to this wonderful small town gem! If you are ever in central Minnesota, you DEFINITELY owe it to yourself to visit them!
