I'm sorry but this is not Indian food. Better restaurants in Thunder Bay and much better in India. Not fresh. Lamb was definitely not lamb It was definitely beef. Would not recommend it for sure. Only people from India will be able to tell you this is not Indian cuisine. Very bad food. Staff and chef were so rude and racist. Worst experience :'(

Half the bad reviews appear to be from people confusing it with other businesses.
I love the juxtaposition of this store -- clean, healthy, overpriced -- and the convenience store right next door -- dirty, greasy, cheap. Great combo if you're passing though.

This place is fantastic. An absolute life-saver for people with restrictive diets. Wish they would expand to the Twin Cities as well, and all around the state.

I’ve been a member of co-ops since 1984, in various places around the country, and when I travel I seek out local coops because groceries are great story-tellers of a place. My experience is that WFC is amongst the best of the best! Being a member-owner probably affects my opinion but this coop does not exclude non-members from shopping and enjoying the benefits! I adore the ability to purchase in bulk spices, kitchen & bath soaps, grains & fruits & nuts. And I love the variety of brands as well as types of food available here. Ther’s a large selection of personal products, self-care items and supplements/vitamins, too. Whole Foods Coop is a good neighbor in this community and we recently opened a shop in West Duluth, an area that has been identified as being a ‘food desert’. On top of all this praise I’ll say just one more thing: the daily hot-food bar is wonderful. Swing on over some midday and bring lunch back to your desk; all your coworkers will be jealous.

This is the only place in Duluth that I will stop for groceries. They have amazing baked goods and many delicious and healthy options. What I like best, however, is I can tell the employees are happy to be working there because of the pleasant atmosphere and higher wage.

For such a small store it has an awesome variety of wholesome organic food , a fresh deli , along with alternative magazines, kind makeup, non toxic household cleaning supplies and much more. I love that they have the deli with great view and outdoor eating in the summer. I can honestly say that I have never had any bad interactions with staff, and everyone seems to treat their job as more than a paycheck. Its a lifestyle and they seem very passionate about it. The one by sa in central hillside does seem to be fairly busy at all hours and while it is a tiny store , the aisles stay clear and there is minimal clutter. Products are pretty easy to find. The lighting is soothing also , not the harsh fluorescent lights like most grocery stores have but its on a dimmer warmer setting that makes shopping soothing without being too dark and unable to see well. I really want to give the co-op a 5 , but with being a single mom and on a fixed income I am only able to get a few things here each month. It is really unfortunate in the USA that junk food costs more than healthy organic fare but thats the way things go. If you have a good food budget, and eating clean , organic, and having fair trade items is of a top priority , then wholefoods is for you. It offers so much more than your traditional grocery store , and is reminiscent of a turn of the century food market with modern convient goods solds as well.

Good selection of food that is healthier and some organic. Also good source for vegetarian options.
The prices are set too high though. I can get boca crumbles for $1.50 less at larger grocery store near my house.

Organic food is not cheap!
They don't have any dandelion burdock fentemens soda anymore.
Good luck getting a loaf of bread from the coco bakery in Wisconsin...
They say it comes in Saturday and Monday I go there almost every day of the week sometimes and I'm lucky to get bread once a month.

I go to Whole Foods Co-op almost everyday and for me it is a fabulous, affordable, One Stop Shop. I bring my own coffee mug in and coffee is only a 1.35 after tax; how's that for organic and reasonable? The staff is good especially in produce.

Best place to grocery store for quality food in Duluth. Other places might have some high quality, but here, I know that it has been properly vetted so that I can trust it. The staff is not as knowledgeable as at a Whole Foods Market (no affiliation) but they are better than most grocery store employees
