The coffee here is one of a kind. The aroma when you walk in from the roaster is so lovely. The staff is also very kind and helpful. The live music is really fun to attend too.

My wife and I have lived in Duluth for almost a year now, and we have found that Duluth Coffee Company has the best coffee in the Duluth area.
The reason I rate 4/5 is for atmosphere and friendliness of the baristas.
Atmosphere: I have gone in a few times when the music was so loud that I could not concentrate well at my computer.
Staff: The baristas here do not go out of their way to make conversation with their customers. Conversation/community is one of the reasons that coffee shops exist, and I don't always feel that here.
However the coffee is consistently excellent, no matter what I order. Very smooth cold brew, great lattes (if you're looking for something different, try their dirty chai latte - homemade chai tea!), and good pour overs.
Overall, a very good coffee shop!

One of the best coffee houses I've been to, and the best in Duluth. They make their own chocolate mix for mochas, so no overly sweetened pump chocolate. Their premier is the miel, which is too die for. The staff it's always chatty and friendly. It's a dog friendly place too.

OMG, I love it here! The coffee is great and even the hot chocolate is good. The staff is nice and get the orders done quickly and correctly. This place is a must for any time of the year!

Exceptional quality and great value when compared to the $15-20 for a 10-12oz bag o'beans charged by the leading roasters in the Twin Cities. I order online and, even with shipping, is a much better value and GREAT coffee.

Good coffee. Servers are sociable. Never had a bad experience (other than hearing Fleetwood Mac songs playing on a neverending loop). Only concern is the minimal seating offered. Glad to see alternatives to Starbuck's.

Moved to Duluth after having spent 5yrs in Seattle, this place reminds me of the coffee houses there and offers really good stuff. I almost always drink an Americano, theirs is the best one I've had in Duluth and in the neighborhood of what you'd get at great coffee houses in Seattle.

Phenomenal coffee, roasted in-house. I almost docked a star for the noise of the roaster in the background, but it didn't last too long, and the coffee was too good to give 4 stars.
The coffee is strong, with nuance of flavor and the exact level of roasty-toasty flavors you need for a Duluth winter.

Was just personally not a fan of the beans\roast. Also, the atmosphere was cool, but a tad cramped, and the music was loud. I guess it's ok for a quick stop if you're touring downtown, but there's better spots in Duluth.

They made a great cappuccino. And the barista had some good suggestions for where to eat on the north shore.
