We've been hearing about this place for a couple of years now from our Lake neighbors. Was a little bit of a rainy morning so I had to wait for the lawn to dry before I could mow it so we decided now is the time to check it out.
It was much cooler than it was described to us. Because they're located on a bike trail there was a lot of bike themes in the decorations. We were surprised about the outside dining it was fantastic. The landscaping decorations the gazebo or whatever you want to call it or you could eat or you could eat outside in the open air was really cool.
We decided on the Sunday morning breakfast buffet. Food tasted home cooked and fantastic. If you eat outside you need to use paper plates which makes sense cuz there for a lot of opportunities with the landscaping for a dropped plate to shatter.
I recommend.

Located directly across the street from the Soo Line ATV Trail, sits this lovely place! Wow and beautiful! The only words to explain it! The food is wonderful and well worth the drive. I wish I lived closer to eat here more! We go out of or way for their Sunday breakfast buffet. It's about a hour drive but WORTH IT! The food just gets better every time! The staff is great, the outside eating and garden area are amazing. The seating inside is like eating at home! Very cozy and comfortable.
Jordie and Sonya do an amazing job!
Take the time!!!! And save room for the pie!!

Great family restaurant. The set up for outdoor dining is perfect for people coming from the bike trail. It is shaded and there are gardens. Soup, sandwiches and homemade pies.

Hidden gem of Bowlus! Food is excellent and the grounds feel like a fairy tale. Many options for outdoor seating. And conveniently located right by a park and the great River bike trail.

My lil slice of bike heaven: biking along the Soo Line Trail, parched and sore-then finding this spot along the trail! Enjoyed pie and ice cream in the shaded garden! I loved all the charm and hospitality and quietness of this oasis!

Beyond expectations for this off the beaten path place. The onion rings are huge as is every sandwich on the menu.
The outdoor area is filled with great landscaping and ponds.
I thought the coffee was delicious as well.

Quaint little Cafe with amazing home cooking and generous servings. Friendly staff. I will definitely be going back.

Great food and service. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating in a whimsically landscaped garden. Try to save room for dessert as they are well known for their pies.

This is a charming small town cafe. The inside is old time fun. But it is the outside garden and eating area that is the huge attraction. Someone with an imaginative, creative mind put together one of the more intriguing gardens I have seen. The food items are reasonably priced. We have had sandwiches and ice cream. Both were good. They also offer fun art/craft items that make a house a home. A triple win, comfort food, decor, and peaceful garden. There is also a playground across the street if energetic children need to burn some energy.

Fun and interesting place to stop for a bite to eat. We stopped for lunch today and had good home style food at very reasonable prices, I had the all you can eat Fish Fry for $8.99. It looked like 2 orders were being delivered when my wife's sandwich, Philly and onion rings, came out. We will definitely be going back, even though it is really "off the beaten track"!
