The Chickadee Coffeehouse & Deli

Great food and friendly service! Stopped on our way up to Grandma's Marathon in Duluth and got some yummy carbo-loading done. The chicken cranberry salad sandwich on their multi grain bread is delicious. Highly recommend!

First impressions are everything and I have to say this one was not the best. My wife ordered white hot chocolate and they were out. The cashier thought we gave her a twenty when we gave her a ten, could not make change with that had a yell toward the back " No change for large bills!". Now where I come from a ten is not large bills when a coffee and smoothie cost $6.17. Will not be coming back to this one.

Ordered three drinks and one turned out so yummy. Obviously the girl was training. She charged us for mochas instead of americanos. Which totally understand honest mistake and I was going to let it slide. Then someone more experienced came to help her and noticed her mistake. Instead of fixing it with the customer, she told her about it in whispers we could hear and went on with the drinks. Disappointed with the customer service.

Comfortable! Delicious coffee. Great clean atmosphere with games for anyone to grab and play. My husband had an Americano and enjoyed it. I had a special coffee request and they were very accommodating. We did not get to try the food but they had many choices. Perfect location right off I-35. The street view does not seem accurate as this little coffee shop is in a brand new building.

Cozy spot to grab amazing sandwiches and good coffees. Been here a couple times in the past month en route to some northern Minnesota escapes and will come back when I'm in the area again. They have live music on Friday nights too.

Service is nice, I love the hangout area, food makes me feel good and healthy, local businesses are awesome, great place!

I don’t appreciate how they upcharge you for having allergies and you have to pay extra for gluten free bread. Almost $8 for a gluten free breakfast sandwich with just egg and sausage with no sides is too much.

The Chickadee is a regular stop for me between MPLS and Duluth or Bayfield. Excellent sandwiches; really fresh and well-made in every detail. Sweet vibes too; nice people. There’s a side yard where your dog can stretch her legs. Literally 3 minutes from I35, but you feel a world away.

Stopped here on a whim on our way home from the north shore. They were out of the chicken salad sadly, but my 2nd option of the cranberry Turkey blt on whole wheat was great. My husband got the chicken bacon ranch wrap and said “this is phenomenal”. My girlfriend was disappointed that the chicken wild rice wasn’t more creamy. As someone with food allergies, I appreciated seeing some items labeled GF or DF.

What a cute place! And great food.
