If I could give more stars, I would. Waypoint Coffee is a hidden treasure of the highest quality coffee and tea I have found in Michigan. It's ruined other coffee shops for me. I can't get the deep, bold, complex flavor of this espresso anywhere else. My blood is approximately 8% vanilla bean latte. I am amazed that they MAKE the vanilla bean syrup, no Monin syrups here. They also offer the most beautiful selection of handmade baked goods - I am most recently obsessed with the rhubarb scone. AND it's less than Biggby or Starbucks?? AND you can order online?? AND you get rewards points???
Aside from the quality product, the atmosphere, sidewalk seating, and awesome staff make this one of my favorite places in town. They know my name and usual order, they're friendly and knowledgeable, but also quick and efficient. I only wish they were open Sundays!! It's now our Saturday morning routine to walk (about a mile) downtown, get coffee and walk back home - I look forward to it every week.
As a lifelong resident of SJ who witnessed the decline of downtown during the recession, I am beyond excited to see not only more businesses back downtown, but somewhere like THIS. It feels younger, more modern, fresh and open. Thank you for being here, Waypoint!!

This coffee shop is my favorite in the greater Lansing area. Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and make a great cup of craft coffee/tea (whatever your preference is). The atmosphere is perfect and the shop has a great view. Love supporting a local and great coffee company! Would highly recommend!

The best coffee shop in the greater Lansing area, hands down! The service is superb—not only is it quick, but the staff are very knowledgeable and passionate about coffee and tea. They always have answers and advice for my amateur pursuit of the perfect cup of coffee at home. The atmosphere is cute and quaint, the perfect mix of inspiration and relaxation to spend my hours journaling or working from “home.”

Terrific coffee, delicious homemade pastries, friendly staff, and a gorgeous location. It is the perfect spot to meet up with friends. Anyone who loves history will appreciate how the buildings architecture was impeccably restored to its original beauty. The ceiling, walls and flooring are truly beautiful. Love having this new coffee shop in our St. John’s community.

Just had to stop in and get our usual kombucha and mocha! Always awesome service and atmosphere. We didn't have time to stay this time, we were in a hurry and on a mission.

This is a very pleasant place to come to. The environment is perfect for coffee with a friend or a business meeting. The staff is always very kind and friendly. The coffee and food are great: my personal favorite is the scone.

Every visit is greeted with kindness, thoughtfulness, and intention to help and develop a memorable rapport. Every beverage and pastry is executed deliciously and with consistency.
Not only do I recommend this place to those living in the area, but to others who are seeking the experience & product this space offers.
