I'll tell you what, the wife who I dearly love refuses to prepare liver and onions at home. It's a sad, sad situation.
As such, when we find ourselves at the A & M Cafe you'll likely spot the server delivering a heaping plate full of this delicacy to my table.
Without a doubt, A & M makes the best liver & onions I've ever tasted. A wonderful adventure in dining. Added to that, the sight of my beaming bride who's so happy she wasn't required to prepare the objectionable substance at home. (Think of all the points I'm scoring!)
I do sample other meals when we visit and every meal I've tried has been a heaping plate full. The breakfast offering are wonderful. The taco salad I tried was better than any I've ever had at any restaurant featuring a southwestern menu.
So dear reader on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best, I'm compelled to award this establishment 5 stars and 5 oinks and excuse me, an occasional burp!

Service was great, my fried cod was pretty good. Some of my fries were somehow cold although nothing else on my plate was cold.
I’m not sure if I’m being picky but I’ve never seen a salad like they serve, lettuce one tomatoe and a strip of green pepper.
The core reason i rate 3 stars was the country fried steak was really bad, the breading completely fell off, I took a big bite and felt I was chewing on a chewey slightly dry piece of meatloaf, which after a few moments began to taste like hamburger. It was really bad.

Worth the drive! I had the country fried steak and it was perfect! Big portion sizes, home made fresh breads. Friendly, helpful service, warm rural atmosphere. Highly recommended

Good down-home style cooking. A great place to go for a hearty breakfast. A bit outside of Marquette but easy enough to find; it's a nice place to go if you're looking to avoid the tourists.

I went with 5 other people, everyone loved their food! Our waitress suggested I try their Arnold Palmer, I had never had one, it's now my favorite drink! The staff was wonderful, very friendly and welcoming.
