Food was really good and it was a neat place to eat. The pretzel bites and fries are incredible! BUT the metal "modern" seating was pretty uncomfortable. uncomfortable enough to make me only consider take out next time. Maybe it was intentional to get people in and out quick. Lol

After driving around Bad Axe looking for places to eat on a Sunday we decided to make a little bit farther trip to Port Austin to try this place. When we arrived it was little busy but we decided to make reservation.
First issue was seating, the seat's were so uncomfortable! It was hard to enjoy your food because we were constantly trying to adjust our chairs. The food was eh-ok, I felt the quality of food was below my expectations for the amount of money we spent. All in all, I will not be going back.

Pak's has a 5 star view. 5 star staff and 4.5 star french fries.
But then meh. Food seems to be cooked from frozen like GFS or something. No flavorful seasonings. Side is bagged chips unless you pay to upgrade. This year's menu is very limited. But I get that with staffing shortages all over. They are busy and need a menu that allows them to serve guests quickly without becoming overwhelmed.
Cost is normal probably about $50-$60 ( with tip) for two with no alcohol.
Again the view!

The food was good but it was a tad overpriced but thats to be expected in a tourist town. Service was nice for the most part. Bathrooms where a little dirty or I need of some regular cleaning. They did have yard games so that was fun.

If you in Port Austin and are looking for a great place to eat with amazing staff and a view of the lake Pak’s is it!!!!!
Last year got close but restrictions held us at bay. Today we were able to enjoy the afternoon on the lawn on a beautiful 75• day with a cool breeze. Madeline welcomed us quickly and was quick to return with our water and appetizers. Fish tacos and a burger was on the menu for our lunch. Food came quickly and was perfectly prepared. A miscommunication caused a non gluten bun to be served. The entire staff just about fell over themselves to get a new one out to us before the first taco was gone and with nothing but grace extended to us. Relaxing and enjoyable, respectful and grace-filled, professional with that homey feeling.
If you don’t visit you’ll regret that decision.
By the get the fish tacos with fries!!!!!!

My wife and I had dinner here on a Saturday evening. The wait was minimal and the staff were pleasant. The service was alright but our waitress seemed quite busy despite the modest turnout that evening. She didn't ask how my wife wanted her burger cooked and my wife failed to inform her meat was not as she would have preferred. The burger was tasty though. We tried the pretzel balls which were really good. My fish tacos had too much sauce which dripped all over the food runner and onto my table as well. Still the meal was good despite that issue. I liked the atmosphere and the speed of the service as well. I recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

We came after a kayak paddle to Turnip Rock. After the long trip we were pretty hungry - so it was nice to have this here. The food was good. The pretzel bites are amazing. A very pleasant day, so sitting outside on the patio was beautiful.

Great outdoor patio area for kids and adults. Good craft beer selection and simple food menu.
