The service was great and so was the ice cream! Old fashioned style ice cream bar!!

Horrible experience. It's my girlfriend and I first time in Port Austin and decided to stop in here for a hat and breakfast, big mistake. I needed to use the restroom well my girl shopped, and she was continously questioned on what I was doing in the bathroom saying he better not be shaving or brushing his teeth which I was going number two if anyone knows what that means. So as I came out the restroom my girlfriend said we should leave, the cook is being really rude. So instead of eating breakfast there we went across the street to the Stock Pot for breakfast and it was the best. The service is very unprofessional at Lake Street and the cook should be fired.

Came in the other day, we're from out of town, so we could look around. Bought a gift for my son. Didn't get lunch, as was it was closed. Nice little place.

Just had cheeseburger with swiss and home made fries. Fries cooked to a perfect golden brown and not greasy. Burger was grilled and had great flavor with very fresh lettuce, tomato and red onion. Delicious.

My girlfriend and I walked in and from the moment we stepped foot in the store we felt like we were being watched like a hawk. The store owner/employee watched and followed us around the entire store. She was EXTREMELY rude to us. Her and her co-worker audibly discussed that they beleieved we were stealing and to "check to make sure everything they touched is still there". We couldn't be more normal looking people (WASP). Being in just a bathing suit and t-shirt, I'm not sure where she thought we could be hiding something. For a tourist town gift shop it was hilariously overpriced and very non-welcoming. By far the worst part of Port Austin. Don't waste your time.

Great breakfast sandwich. Don't order breakfast too close to lunch time or you'll hear it from the cook. Waitress was great

Forgot my swim trunks and beach shoes...Stopped in heee expecting to spend a ton. To my surprise got beach shoes and swim trunks under 30$ total. Sweet lady's running the shop and grabbed a great burger to go...my new go to spot

The food is insanely over priced and the portions are too small. $4 hot dog, $7 for 3 tenders.

Two days in a row they forgot our food until we said something. Brought it up with the owner in ear shot, who completely avoided all eye contact after she heard there was an issue. Both of us have worked in the service industry for years so we understand things happen. Offered an insincere apology and a bill for coffee and coke.

How cheap can they be! My friend and I ordered a sandwich. The waitress asked if we wanted it toasted, we said Ok. When the bill came, it showed each of us an extra 50 cent charge. When we questioned this the waitress brought over the owner and he said it was an extra charge for toasting the bread. He said the griddle was already hot, but he had to plug the toaster in. Nowhere on menu this was stated. You got to be kidding, 50 cents to toast our bread. Didn't dare to use the bathroom, he probably would charge me 50 cents to turn on the light switch!
My brother-in-law also went there and ordered a burger for $8.00, but across the street (Stock Pot) you get a burger and a small bowl of soup for $5.99. Don't waste you time or money at Lake Street Emporium!
