What a cute little place! Took a walk around Northville with some girlfriends yesterday and randomly saw this place and decided to pop in. The inside was incredibly decorated and it was bigger than expected. Lots of places to sit and enjoy. The tea was very good too. I'd like to go back and try to coffee one of these days.

We just moved here and I spotted Red Dot on my first drive through Northville. It's always busy and such a cute refurbished house! We finally made our first visit there and I was unbelievable impressed. They use Madcap coffee which is from my hometown of Grand Rapids and a bunch of other locally sourced goods. Their Cafe Miel is amazing! Just enough sweetness. The atmosphere is so calm and lovely! There is tons of rustic, reclaimed wood which is beautiful. Prices are a bit steep, but the coffee is truly amazing so I can't complain. We met the owner (I think!) and he explained the menu, some of their specials, and their most popular drinks. They also have a rewards system that uses your phone number so you never have to remember a punch card. Love it! We will be returning every weekend, so glad we discovered the Red Dot!

Their drinks are good. I wish they stayed open pst 5PM. I was only able to go one day when I had off. Most days I end up going to other cafes that are open much later. I wish they’d stay open past 7:30PM.

First off their coffee quality is excellent here. I just expect a few more options at a place like this in a business that has so much competition. For example you can't even find sugar or sweetners to add to your coffee during my last visit. They don't have any syrups or specialty drinks at all other than cafe miel. Then, when these options are not available I at least thought they could pull espresso shots with customization. When I asked if they could do risretto shots for a Quad shot latte they said "their machines weren't setup for it". If you are an absolute hard-core coffee purist you'll love this place but if you want options go somewhere else. My two cents...

We have been huge fans of Red Dot's fresh roasted beans for a while now, but have become increasingly frustrated with their anti-customer business hours.
It's extremely frustrating as a customer for the store to close by 3pm on week days, for the store to not stay open late on weekends and for the store to be completely closed on Sunday's of all days. Customers should not be forced to plan their day around a specific businesses hours just to give them business. Some people have jobs that require them until at least 5 pm.
Management will say that they do this to provide rest for their staff, but with a staff size large enough you should be able to provide ample days off. I'm also unwilling to pay higher prices or for shipping just to supercede these anti consumer policies. Instead, we'll be buying our coffee elsewhere.

This is the best coffee place around. Not only is the coffee amazing (I love their cafe lattes), the ambiance and people make it a truly special experience. The employees remember you and ask about your life (I would study there frequently and they would ask me how my classes were going), it's such a calming atmosphere, and there's always something new and yummy to try. This is my go-to study or coffee date spot now.

Red Dot is a refreshing, rejuvenating coffee spot that I hope to return to, even though I live far away. The decorations are thought provoking, the staff is very welcoming, the seating is comfy. It's a homey place, being in an old, beautiful house. Non dairy options available. Collect reward points for a free drink. Simple, easy to read menu. I tried the cortado and cappuccino, both delicious. Check it out sometime! Cheers

We love Red Dot Coffee! It's a great place for coffee, a cool environment, and their drinks always taste great. We've been coming here for several years now, and we'll keep on coming!
