When being seated it was at a table right next to all the other occupied tables. I asked if we could sit where not right next to everyone. Owner asked me if I was sick loudly and acted inconvenienced that I wanted to sit away from other people. I told her I wouldn't be here if I was sick just trying to follow the guidelines. Didn't even take a sip of my coffee before leaving and was charged for it. The entire front dining space had every table full & one table that seated 4 had an extra chair to seat 5. I was treated horribly

Had a super long wait, which is not their fault.
Took a really long time for the waitress to get to our table, again it was busy and not their fault. However, what I found appalling was the fact that I ordered sausage gravy and I'm completely certain that they came out with canned sausage gravy. Now I don't know if you've had canned sausage gravy but it is full of steamed meat product which makes the meat a weird pink color and it has a really think consistency of vitamin d milk. I don't mind if I have to wait extra time, if I'm going to a restaurant I want to get real food not glorified dog food. Utterly disappointing I doubt I'll be back for quite some time. And if I do I will never order sausage gravy again.

I'm only giving it one star because I have to but I have just received the absolute worst service in my life. From the first moment we walked in the staff was rude. Our waitress was very rude and unatentive. We asked for shakes multiple times and our waitress said she didn't have any time so we couldn't have them but she very obviously took a smoke break while she "didn't have time". As a waitress myself I get that you can be busy but you should never treat a table the way she treated us. I am very disappointed in this restaurant.

Great breakfasts at this family-owned restaurant. ( There are lunch foods too🙂). Wait times are worth it, and speak to the popularity of this "home-cooked" breakfast spot.

Nice place, with a small town feel. I loved the breakfast both times that I ate there while on a 3 day trip. Service was quick and food came out quickly.

We ate breakfast at the coachlight while visiting my daughter at NMU. We thought the coffee was weak tasting and not very strong. We thought the eggs Benedict were good, the egg was poached correctly and the hollandaise sauce was seasoned and well prepared. My daughters traditional breakfast was fine, although her biscuits were a bit doughy. Sides are a bit expensive but also were fine. Service was courteous and quick even on a busy Sunday. Our bill was $40 without the tip for 3 people, a little pricey for breakfast and Marquette.

Came to town from Florida to drop my daughter off @ NMU. We came to visit in March but didn't have time to eat breakfast due to athletic program commitments. Boy am I glad we had time this trip! Kelly was our server BOTH days, and she couldn't have been more hospitable (she had just gotten news her 4th grandchild was born). The food options are great and tasty, and the prices can't be beat. Definitely a spot that needs to be visited when spending time here in the UP!

Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly and attentive. Their breakfast is to die for. Definately stop if you have the chance.

Don't know what happened? My first breakfast was real good but second one was disappointing. (update) had breakfast there again and it was excellent.

Very welcoming staff. Cozy inside. Coffee was just ok but they bake their own bread and you can't beat the price!
