You really can’t beat amazing breakfast on the water. The staff is so sweet, the food is wonderful, and the atmosphere is so beautiful.

The breakfast sandwich on sourdough was excellent, but we were really blown away by the lilac latte! The color is very on-theme for Mackinac, and the use of taro is genius in terms of flavor. It had a great creamy, nutty, almost caramel taste that blended perfectly with the coffee flavor. We will definitely be back next time we’re on Mackinac!

This place was so cute and delicious! a great breakfast or lunch spot. You have to try their poppies (a homemade pop tart).

We stopped in for a late breakfast and were a little bit nervous about the long line out the door but it moved quickly, and our food came out quickly so don’t be deterred!
We had the specialty sandwich, avocado egg wrap, pop tart, and lilac latte and would absolutely order them all again. It was the perfect amount of food — filling, but not to the point where you can’t keep walking about the island.
The vibe inside Watercolor Cafe is so cute. It’s very playful and welcoming, and I love that they have postcards for sale that you can color yourself. The view from the cafe is also beautiful.
If we had more time on the island we’d definitely come back for another meal!

Great food and nice people, amazing views. Their homemade ‘PopTart’ is to die for. And then there are the “balls”,
Chocolate balls you can mix in your coffee to start your day right!

Lovely service and menu!
I was third in line when I arrived and when we left there was nearly 50 people in line. Seems like everyone knows this place is legit! Coffee and pastries were lovely. The lady at the register was very enthusiastic and helpful.
My advice? You should pave the way to offering oat milk and almond milk for no additional charge. Coffee shops in the city are doing this which makes their shops even more of a destination!

Absolutely love this cafe. On the water with panoramic views of the harbor. Breezy, relaxed atmosphere with oldies playing while you sip your house blend coffee and homemade pop tart. Our go-to spot for a lovely little breakfast or lunch to escape the crowds.

Stopped in for a brunch with my friends and the food and atmosphere was 100000/10!
We also were registered for a watercolor class later that evening and it was a beautiful experience on the island with my friends learning how to make art. The owner/ instructor Kate was so friendly and made a fantastic teacher. I got to take home a souvenir/memory/painting and knowledge that I will be able to use to create many more pieces!
I will one hundred percent recommend this place to anyone who is planning on taking a trip to the island!

This is a very cute and popular place. However, we went on a weekday morning to pick up coffee to go and the coffee was so bad that neither my husband or I finished it. He had a regular latte that tasted like a syrup was put in it and I tried the lilac latte. Both were too sweet and had a strange taste. We were disappointed for sure as we had purposely gone there after seeing recommendations. I would not go again.
