Maybe even a 2star, but I feel too mean doing that. Our waiter tried to do his best, most of the staff was young and a bit rude/short with customers or lazy behind the counter. I think they were a bit understaffed which I can understand, there is grace there for sure. The food was over priced and very much under delivered. I had high hopes because the atmosphere was nice and I love coffee and breakfast. The coffees were pretty okay. Food wise, such a lack of seasoning. My mom had the monte cristo(not pictured) and it came crooked and a bit dry. My regular pork cubano was just about all fat and bland, I did my best with the salt and pepper. Our bill for three people (two mochas, one cubano coffee w two shots, three breakfast sandwiches, and three waters) was over $60 without tip (as I recall). Very disappointed and unsatisfied overall.

After reading some of the reviews, I came here expecting good coffee with bad service. Nothing could be further from the truth. I don’t as greeted immediately and my food came out just as quickly. Dads breakfast was a perfect size to start the day without being too full. The scrambled eggs were perfect - fluffy and light without over or under cooking. The potatoes? My god, they were divine. I’m here for three more days, and this may be my hangout.

My server was Brandy. She was as really on the ball and tended my table perfectly

Fantastic service from our waitress who was running the whole front of house - taking orders, making delicious drinks(pictured), bussing tables, etc ALL with a smile & great service. When duties stacked up the chef stepped in to serve & bus tables. Great place in a great little town - keep it up!

It's ok.
Stopped in as recommended by Falling Waters Lodge. WHY does everything open AFTER 8 a.m?
It's a nice little diner, and I wish I already hadn't brewed coffee from my hotel, otherwise I would've gotten a coffee here. They have SO many coffee bean flavors along the wall. They have a good amount of french presses as well.
Maybe they can spark a deal with local hotels to stock their coffee, now THAT would be great!
I did however try their Dad's mini breakfast and it was ok. For $10 I was hoping for something great, but the eggs needed salt and the wheat bread tasted off(?). The hash browns and bacons were good though.
My wife had an omelet and she also commented on them needing salt.

When I walked in there was maybe about 10 guests max, and at LEAST 6 front of house workers. It took about a minute to be noticed at the Please wait sign. There were two guys behind the counter chatting it up, one guy made eye contact with me and did nothing, I was then greeted by a girl/host. I told her I was ordering to go, so she had me sit at the counter where the two guys were and the one guy finally acknowledged me by saying "someone will be with you" -_-. A waitress finally took my order.

I asked if they had burritos since that would've been GREAT for on the go, but alas they didn't, but she pointed me to the tacos. I don't know if burritos aren't big in MI but I found it strange they had taco's for breakfast INSTEAD of burritos. I overheard another customer ask if they had bagels, the girl suggested maybe checking other close by restaurants.

I suggest maybe TRYING burritos. They can be made with a all kinds of combinations: eggs, beans, potatoes, cheese, green/red chili, sausage, chorizo, ground beef, bacon, ham, etc, etc. Ingredients you probably have in the walk in. Possibly opening a bit earlier for those early folk, possibly early fishermen.

Might consider going again to try the coffee.

Love the 45th parallel blend, purchased a pound after getting a taste from a half pound at our airbnb.

Going to order some online when we get back to Virginia.

Thanks so much!!

This was such a fantastic way to start my day! My amazing server Brandey was so wonderful- she really made the entire experience. The local coffee is freshly roasted. Food was fast, delicious and the homemade jam is spot on! Make sure you include this gem on your next visit to the area.

Cozy place, a lot of coffee options, good taste. We got for breakfast the santa fe omelette and muffins with sausage gravy 😋. Great attention

My friend and I stopped in for breakfast. My friend had an omelet which she thought was very good. I had the biscuits and gravy which was horrible! There was so much sage in the gravy that I couldn’t eat it. I’ve actually never been able to see the sage in the gravy. I thought initially it was pepper. If you go, don’t have the biscuits and gravy unless you really like sage.

Stopped in for lunch around 1pm - was nervous there were only 5-6 lunch sandwich options to chose from, as it appears to be primarily a breakfast/coffee shop. Our food was amazing, and will definitely stop again next time I am in the area. Waitstaff was friendly and welcoming.

What.A.Treat! The b'fast place we typically patronize unavailable today, we decided to try LCRCBB. Yowza, tons-o-people upon entry made me nervous, but SO glad we did! (Ha. And do we have a new b'fast place now? Maaaaybe... :) Very delighted with the whole experience: atmosphere - warm and cozy; interior - clean and organized; service - impressive; coffee - hot and yum (with many options for purchasing one's favorite ground or whole bean); food - spectacular (chorizo/egg b'fast tacos, potatoes, buttermilk pancakes, french toast); presentation/portions - inviting/filling; prices - reasonable; teamwork - existed (!) and collaborative. Each of the servers (Seth, Brandy, [Emily, Amelia, Emma... can't recall]) worked well together ensuring all guests were well taken care of. So happy to have finally stumbled into this little place. Without a doubt we will become frequent flyers!
