Café L'Anse

A surprising little gift/antique shop split with an authentic bakery with such goods as Misu Bread and thimbleberry jam. Had a wonderful cheesecake with a generous slathering of homegrown thimbleberry jam, owners were wonderful conversationalists and this spot is wonderful if you’re looking to warm up with a coffee or indulge the sweet tooth. Could not believe the lampshades made of turned wood!!!

I loved the welcoming atmosphere. So friendly and helpful. Fresh sandwiches, soups, and crisp salads. They have so much to offer in this Cafe. Homemade bread, bagels and pastries! The coffee is really good! It's like a delicatessen !

Amazing and charming place. Wonderful, friendly owners. Most importantly, it is a shared kitchen cafe on a co-op
model. So each item is made by an expert. Scones, ice cream, full breakfast, cookies, bagels! What a lovely place. It’s a destination not to be missed.

That was the worst BLT I ever had! Two strips of bacon that the server told me that they nuked in the microwave because they forgot to make bacon that morning, no mayo, burnt dry toast, two underripe tomatoes slices and two very thin slices of lettuce. When I went up to ask for mayo the cashier said I think we have some here somewhere then never went to look for it. I ended up throwing it the trash. Very rude service as well. The positive reviews must be the owners friends.

I recently had lunch here. The restaurant was very clean and I thought the prices were fair. The coffee was also great. I hope to stop by again.

Love this gem in the heart of downtown L’Anse, MI; nestled on the shores of Lake Superior. Delicious food, great atmosphere and great service! I highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat! Made fresh daily!

Cafe L'anse is fantastic! They serve a delicious breakfast and the cinnamon rolls are heavenly! The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is calm, clean and warm.
