Bake Superior Bread

The best bakery just about anywhere. I've been to a lot of similar establishments and this one is by far the best. They have a bread of the week, and usually a sandwich of the day. But I always leave happy. I've tried about everything they have to offer at least once and haven't found something that they have yet to master.

Friendly staff, and absolutely delicious bread. Everything was great and inventive. The danishes had a lovely whole grain twist, and delicious filling. The cinnamon swirl and granola bread was stellar and filling. An excellent find, can't wait to go back on our next visit to town.

A fairly new establishment to the town. Rates high on general atmosphere of the store itself. Loved the open floor plan that allows customers to actually see the bakers doing their thing.

The bread products are delish and worth the price.

What I wasn't a fan of is the pastries. I've had several and consistently feel they are heavy and "bread like" in cooking and taste. A bit dense vs any flakey airiness texture. Bottoms of pastries overcooked (resemble bottom of bread loaf) fillings are on the bland side and my personal opinion skimpy amounts for the price.

I had their pizza slice for lunch. Large serving portion for price. Taste a bit on the bland side.

A place to check out for specialty breads.

I love that they bake with sourdough starter culture and no preservatives. I will never again buy the garbage they call bread at the local grocery stores. Everything i tried there was superb, and it's nice that they offer the cinnamon roll with it without icing. If I ran the bakery, it would be maple cream cheese frosting and all organic...

What an amazing little place in downtown Ironwood! Loved the hummus sandwich. The bread was wonderful - crusty on the outside, soft and lovely inside. Also bought bread to take home that was a big hit with family. Definitely returning!

Excellent vegan option for sandwich. Very high quality fresh ingredients. Tomato bisque soup was superb. Highly recommend to stop by for quick bite.

BOOM! The owners of this amazing bakery GET IT! Most importantly, the owners of this bakery understand healthy food. As a mama to 4 kids and knowing our health is driven by our gut and healthy bacterias, I had been baking our own breads and treats from sourdough culture, as all other local bakeries and commercialized bread contain yeast that is so horrible for your gut and digestion. When I learned there are no preservatives in their baked goods and that the majority of their baked goods are made from active sourdough culture then proofed longer than 8 hours, I literally jumped for joy! The short of it… it's all incredibly easily to digest, wont cause bloating, nor digestion issues. There may be days, in the late afternoons/early evenings, when they have sold out for the day. I spoke directly to the owners about this and I learned that it's not because they are under producing their product... they currently arrive at the bakery at 11:30pm to work throughout the night to hand-shape more than 250 pastries, bagels, and loaves of bread for the next day and allow them time to proof for 8 hours before baking in the morning for the day’s sales. Add in the daily pizzas and custom orders called in throughout the day, and it's obvious they are busting their tails! Hats off to Bake Superior Bread on your success and selling out your huge daily inventory — Ironwood clearly loves you! You are exactly what the area needed!

Their sandwiches are amazing definitely look out for their sandwich specials they almost never disappoint. Bread bowls are also top notch for soups.

The baked goods, bread and pretzels is not only delicious but the owners are amazing. Family owned and operated and made with great ingredients. Definetly a place to stop and try out. The earlier the better for choices I think. Thursday pretzel day!

This place makes the best cinnamon rolls I have ever had! We came from Madison and every time we do we visit this bakery. My parents live in town and by all of their bread and baked goods. This place is a must stop!
