Lyon Street Cafe used to be a haven for furiously studying students, picking heads up to glance at one another across the sturdy wooden booths and warm Edison style lighting. It was cozy and crowded, frequented by neighborhood regulars as well as an ever changing cast of professionals and bourgeoisie of every ilk.
In the post-post-9/11 covid “worst timeline” present they’ve had to drastically change their tact. The temperature is dropping and they, in a refreshingly patron-safety-centric approach, seem to have no plan to open their doors to the almost certain flood of mask-dismissing, germ-disseminating yuppies (I’m looking at you Mary Wheeler). Instead they are creating conditions for a happy outdoor cup of joe all year round, much like Outdoor Coffee has pioneered.
I’m sitting now in the first of what is rumored to be 7 greenhouses, equipped with an electric wood stove (not real wood obvi) and ventable ceiling panel. It smells clean and new and best of all private in here, I am occasionally looking up to see the blurred shapes of passerby but am blissfully protected from errant sneezes.
If you haven’t checked out Lyon Street's cold weather setup, DON’T! I want it all to myself. But if you do check it out, be sure to say hi. I’ll be the one who’s all moved in to greenhouse number 6.

Best chai latte here. Can get very busy. I moved over and shared my big table and saw other people sharing too. Yay for sharing tables. Wasn't as quiet as I typically like so I need to put in the headphones. Had a few big groups that were quite loud.

Had a new drink! amazing ! it was light seating and a bit slow service but well worth it! I'm still raving about my espresso with cinnamon and honey:) The mocha was great and the creame art was fun

Super sweet staff, and amazing drinks. The staff are super knowledgable. Pretty good prices for what you get, considering how good the drinks are, and it is literally the cutest shop you will ever set foot into. The atmosphere is gorgeous.

I have gone twice and had the same issue where I thought the coffee was nice in terms of taste but was not very hot. The individual heated seating areas are great!

My original review was"great quiche". However, I feel like that limits things. I've gone there 4-5 times again since first review and must say the staff is great, and I have yet to try something from their food that wasn't awesome. Great job folks!

These peeps be slinging drinks among the world's best, I mean, an entire crew who cares about their interactions, it's like a bunch of little worlds in a bigger world and that world reaches out to hand you a coffee or toast, and it's like a woohoo cheers kinda thing! I'm digging the beans, the eyebrows, and the heart of this place. peace b 4ever, amen.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere here! Several different seating options, including a stand-up tables, a bar and booths. Minimalist style, but still felt warm and very local and excellent tea selection.

I like to come here after work and grab their nitro coffee when it's in season (if not, their miel is fantastic - - do it with almond milk for an added nutty flavor). Their pastries are delicious as well! I love the modern, clean feel to it, and depending on the time of the day it's either very quiet or bustling to the point of seating being maxed out. Don't come here if you're self-conscious about owning an android or PC - you'll be lost in a sea of Apple-wielding yuppies :-)

This is place has the best peach tea in the world. Pairs so well with one of their delicious bakery treats. Only bummer is sometimes it’s hard to find seating and fairly loud.
