Second time here. Second time delighted with the quality of the food and service. Delicious!

The tables were dirty. The place is quiet. The service was fast.
The worker wasn't knowledgeable about the product. The team member couldn't tell me anything about the roti, how they're made, or how they're served.
They could not tell me if the flavors would be inside of the roti or if it's only a topping or a side of fruit, nuts, chocolate, etc. I felt lost. They couldn't even describe the taste or texture of the roti to me. It was weird.
The roti was fine. It's an interesting texture. Reminds me of croissant meets dinner roll with an outer crust. It is slightly sweet like honey.
Try it for yourself.

I went here last week and ordered a "up north" . After taking a few bites, I bit into something that tasted like a nut. Me being allergic to tree nuts, I immediately checked the menu again (which I closely evaluated before I ordered) to see if I missed something, the menu says it contains "vanilla ice cream, chocolate and caramel" I then asked the woman that made my bun and she told me that they switched out the vanilla for vanilla pecan ice cream. I immediately left for urgent care. I'm pretty sure that's against the law to not state that nuts are in your product and are NOT a proper substitute. Even the woman working said there was an owner/manager that told her to replace the vanilla and that there are many problems to be had at this location. I will never be returning. This place should be shut down.

This place is my go to place in East Lansing. With amazing spacious and clean atmosphere, helpful and professional team, delicious Buns and addictive Karak Tea and coffee.
I generally don't give 5 stars without visiting the shop several times and I have been in this location since the beginning and I loved it.
Thank you for adding such great place to our community.

I tried Pappa Roti over the weekend for the first time and will definitely be back next time I’m in town! The signature roti bun was delicious, especially paired with the karak tea! Excellent service as well!

The workers are very kind here and make a great cup of coffee <3
I also love the atmosphere of this place. The large windows coupled with the music make this a peaceful environment to come study or have meetings.

This little cafe hasn't had a grand opening yet and it's still amazing. The logo is on everything, the flatware, the napkins, the plates and it's impressive.
This place is clean, fancy and most of all delicious. Well lit, good ambiance and vibe. The buns are almost like a cross between a waffle and choux pastry, light and airy yet crispy.
I got a Mona Lisa which is the one with the fresh fruit, ice cream and whipped cream. It's a decadent treat and paired well with the Karak Tea. This'd be a good spot to grab a snack and study or just for some reading, a really chill spot.
We stopped in for my sister's birthday and they gave us a free signature bun. The little things make this place amazing.

Amazing tea & buns. Only 3 locations in Michigan - so happy we have one here. If you’ve never been here, get the Karak Tea & Signature Bun. You want be disappointed!
