I love coffee places with in-house roasters. Fresh and mild taste of coffee. I loved my mocha not at a chocolaty note. Foam was thick and well done! Bakery eats were good as usually nothing great about it. But coffee is a must try!

If you want to have a good coffee in Boston, you must visit Georhe Howell Coffee. Coffee is hiqh quality, creamy and right temperature. If you love hot cocoa, this is your best option! Bakery is delicoous too! The place is at Newtonville, a nice town worth visiting when coming to Boston!

I live a 15 minute walk from the center of town. I walked through fields and passed doggies to get to George Howell. It was a happy walk and my iced coffee hit the spot.
The staff at George Howell promptly took my order and asked me the most important question, "room for milk?"
For someone who was in quarantine the past week, this walk and quick social exchange hit the spot.
The weather was windy but warm. My five layers were enough -even too much.
The mid-day pick me up was a good idea. In 50 minutes i'll go back to Dunks.

Nice ambience and average service. Overpriced, products are nothing special, NO BATHROOMS, they have that hideous machine that asks for a tip which automatically makes me black list the place, and frankly seems pretentious and political (ironically I agree with all they support but don't like businesses taking sides, even if it's mine!).

Absolutely awesome espresso and a wonderful environment in general. George Howell is one of my first stops every time I am in the city. Their chocolate chip cookies are fantastic as well.

Cute little coffee shop in Newton near the train station. Overall I found the coffee to be good, but not amazing (I had their house blend espresso). On par with Starbucks I’d say. The shop is small but clean and well decorated. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. The tables were full of individuals on their Mac’s so it seems to be a popular working place. I may come back again if I’m in the area.

Lovely little cafe and coffee shop! Spent a few hours drawing there and ordering some drinks. The atmosphere is very lovely with some light music and chatter and their drinks were wonderful! I ordered the chai tea, cappuccino and London fog and they were all stellar 🌟

This place is the benchmark of good coffee. Consistent and good. I haven't had anything else though really.

Coffee was good. Each is made to order and takes time. It’s pricey but it’s in Newton so no surprise.

Great beans, poor execution. Espresso in our cappuccino was sour. Haven’t been to any other GHC locations, but I know the beans are really great.
Just look at that capp art 😲😮💨
