Sugar Bowl Coffee

I love going to the Sugar Bowl. They allow dogs, so it is very convenient to stop in and grab a latte while taking a walk with my dog. The food is great, the staff are upbeat, friendly and knowledgable. Truly a gem in the heart of Dorchester. Please stop in and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

This place is so beautiful on the inside and the outside. I came upon this shop on my quest for a bathroom, and ended up buying a muffin and a drink, both of which were of very excellent quality and tastes delightful. 10/10 would recommend this place :)

Went in for a cappuccino around 1:15 pm today,the cappuccino had next to no foam and it was hardly even warm, I went up to the cashier and asked if they had a microwave to heat it up for me and she did instead of offering me a new one. The three cashiers that were there weren’t even able to tell me what kind of cake was on display on the counter.
VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!

The owner / manager lady was very disrespectful and rude to me. I needed to use the restroom and saw a sign outside that said "restroom is for customers only". I entered the establishment, purchased two items, and asked to use the restroom. Only after the owner / manager had taken my money, did she tell me that her bathroom is private and not for customers.

I pointed out the sign and told her that I was a paying customer, who had specifically made a purchase because I was handicap and in need of a restroom.

She not only refused to let me use the facility, but she was rude to me and talked down to me as if I was a bad person for asking to use her "Private Bathroom" . She should be ashamed.

I would give less than one star if that was an option.

I will never return to this establishment again and I will be sure to let everyone know how bad they treated a handicap customer.

The owner is very aggressive and unfriendly. As soon as I walked in to set my stuff down and find a seat, she immediately ran over to me to inform me that I need to purchase something to be in her establishment. She did not even give me a chance to settle down before she bombarded me. It made for a rather uncomfortable atmosphere for the remainder of my visit.

Boutique cafe in busy neighborhood. The back room has old coffee tables and comfy chairs, some of them splitting at the seems. Also have breakfast sandwiches. Was annoyed they only had American cheese...lol. curious what it's like at night..

Unfriendly and extremely disorganized, slow service. How the heck do they run out of bagels, croissants and wheat bread on a slow Sunday morning?! She added bacon to my sandwich when I said no bacon twice, then I caught her rolling her eyes when I said no sugar for my coffee. If this fecal show is any indication of what you would expect from a cafe in a gentrified area of Dorchester, you'd be happier living in Southie.

Good coffee and good food. Very comfy couches. Cash only. Great place if your planning on hanging out for awhile, but it might not be the best choice if you're looking to grab something quick to go.

Delicious coffee flavors and they let my dog inside. So that's great. Ridiculously slow service but I know that walking in so overall its a good neighborhood joint

love this spot! homey decor and friendly service. good coffee and specialty drinks. also enjoy the breakfast sandwiches.
