Always great, the lamb hash and French toast are particularly decadent. Leaving a star off because of the dining experience — it always seems like half the tables are taken by laptops who post up for hours. Tatte should consider a “no laptop” policy on busy days, so that customers paying for a meal can actually dine in.

Nice decorum and staff but expensive at $8/ small dessert and we felt rushed ordering.

This is the spot. Haven’t been to other Tatte’s to compare but this is my go to coffee shop for sure. Espresso is rich and dark. One of the best cappuccinos I’ve had. Wide variety of tasty breakfast foods and sandwiches! I always find myself coming back!

I live down the street and always order from Tatte and have had amazing experiences so far! Today I had a sandwich that didn't agree with me and I was terrified of calling and asking for a refund - I didn't want to be a "Karen". But the staff and manager were so understanding and issued me a refund without any hesitation. I WILL be coming back to Tatte because of numerous past great experiences, and great service in a difficult moment. It happens, and regardless, the food is delicious. Thanks for helping me out, I really appreciate it.

Their chicken salad is the best chicken salad I've ever had!

Large selection of fresh baked goods, scones, pies, donuts, high end fancy pastries, nut cakes, and cheese cakes, and breakfast/lunch offerings. Clean, with comfortable, plentiful seating and clean restrooms. Service can be slow when its crowded at lunchtime.

I moved to Allston a few months ago and within 2 weeks, became a regular a Tatte. I love the variety of food, and the coffee is great. I always get a cappuccino with soy or oat milk.

Food wise, my favorite is the muesli cup/bowl. the "cup" is a REALLY small serving but I think the yogurt is full fat so it's filling. another fav is the turkey sandwich; the green herb dressing is the best.
I've also had/liked the egg sandwich (I get croissant sandwich, sub w/ multigrain bread), and tartines (a fav!). My parents rave about this place from when they visited - the grain or warm winter squash bowl, smoked salmon sandwich, lamb hash.

Service - fast every time I've been here. sandwich/yogurt is out in 5 minutes even if they're packed. other food in 10-15min tops.
I have to give a shout out to Denise, who I met my first time here, and she was incredibly helpful to my mom & I. I later found out it was her first week, I never would have guessed! She has remembered me and said hi every time :)

only critique - their coffee isn't the hottest. I like to slowly sip my drink if I'm dining in. After several visits, I asked my drink to be "extra hot" (I hate being that person) & it was still cool in 10 minutes. I've asked for it in a to-go cup but for here, still cool within 10 min.
