A pure shot of caffeine in an all American style served coffee, hot, black and bitter. The lobby is superb, spacious and relaxing.

A lot of care is taken by the baristas to prepare beautiful looking espresso drinks. Intelligentsia coffee beans have a distinct, more acidic/bitter flavor (in my opinion) that I enjoy in a cortado. I tried a scone, which seemed properly made but had a very extra strong lemony taste that I wasn’t a fan of (maybe it had too much zest?)

I know this brand and visited their branch near Venice Beach a couple of times. There the espresso was outstanding. Here in Boston the cappuccino was so extremly sour that I even had problems to swallow.
The very nice ladies tried a second version and I could see how they did a lot of adjustments at the grinder and brewing ratio. They both did their very best to improve the extraction. The outcome was a little bit less but still sour.
I was too embarassed to complain again as the barristas were so incredible friendly.
It seemed to be a problem of underextraction propably caused by the espresso-machine. The company should fix this issue and provide proper hardware. Almost seven dollars for a terrible sour cappuccino is ridiculous.

Great staff and comfy chairs in a building lobby. Excellent coffee from a Chicago-based chain.

Excellent coffee and service, in a tucked-away location in Boston's financial district. A blink-and-you'll-miss-it cafe in an office building next to Equinox and a sg, Intelli serves up a great array of coffee products, with delicious cappucinos and awesome pourovers. They don't charge extra for nutmylks, and the baristas Audrey and Marco are especially nice.

Best coffee I’ve found in Boston so far.
Prices could be better, but given the landscape of Dunkin’ doughnuts and Starbucks in Boston, it’s a delight.
Coffee actually has flavors instead of just tasting burnt like the competition. 👍🏻

Meh. I spose the high prices keep the riffraff from lowering the average income in the lobby. Which is nice.
Minus 2 stars bc the barista didn't mention his Tesla once.

Well pulled shots and, if you can believe it, friendly staff (a trait Intelligentsia staff are not known for).
I’m hesitant to give a 3rd wave behemoth five stars, but they offer complimentary sparkling.
Until someone in town starts sourcing Little Wolf (sry ToS), I’m posting up right here.

Does not accept cash. What kind of coffee shop won’t accept cash for a transaction costing only a few dollars. There are dozens of other coffee shops nearby who will gladly accept cash and tips. Get over yourselfz

Excellent service and amazing products! Employees know how to talk about coffee in an eloquent way without sounding pretentious. Would come back again!
