Caffè Nero Coffee + Kitchen

Nice cafe and a great spot to relax or study. While some of the other locations seem to never have enough seating, this spot is very spacious and has plenty of tables, chair, couches, even some outdoor seating. The only con was that when I visited, the bathroom was not clean and out of toilet paper.

The best spot in the Newbury/Back Bay Area to enjoy a nice cup of coffee. The environment is very cozy and comfortable. The staff is magnificent. Always very attentive. Never had better service. I come here almost every week since September.

The service could not have been worse. No greeting when we arrived at the counter. We were met with obvious impatience as we ordered. It was incredibly slow so there was no reason for it. We couldn't get a cappuccino because they cleaned off the cappuccino machine 40 minutes before closing. One employee was dragging chairs around making a ton of noise as she cleaned. At one point she came very close to sweeping our feet. The flourless chocolate cake was good, a bit sticky. We ordered two beverages and the barista managed to get one wrong... it was just a tea.

Terrible service. We arrived forty minutes before closing. They had already shut down the espresso machine, put away the ground coffee, and wouldn't make me a cappuccino on a freezing cold night. My wife ordered an English Breakfast and got an Earl Grey too hot to drink. One server aggressively cleaned and almost swept our feet. When someone walked through and shouted "ten minutes", we were happy to leave and will never go back!

Food was very good. Chai tea was perfect. Atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxing. Can be hard to find a place to seat as a lot of people come to do work and study.

Classic Cafe Nero ambiance - cosy, comfortable, and spacious at the same time, great for casual coffee with friends or reading a book next to the fireplace. Great location, coffee drinks, baked goods and light tasty sandwiches.

I like caffe nero. They don't have the best coffee in town, but it's definitely not bad either. Their breakfast sandwiches are good. The atmosphere is super warm and cozy but gets crowded on the weekends.

Decent Cafe Nero taste as usual but the service at this particular location is not good. The barista assumed to go and put my coffee into paper cups although I was looking for a mug. As I warned him in the middle of his work, he didn’t even bother to use mugs for my next order.

I've been to Caffe Nero several times both in Massachusetts and other parts of the world and have had friendly service and a great cup of coffee. However, when I went to Caffe Nero on Newbury Street in Boston I was disappointed from the moment it was my turn to order. Instead of the barista listening carefully to our order she was blabbing away with her co-worker and shift leader. It's alright to converse while working but not if you have no multitasking skills, which this barista did not. I ordered two very simple drinks a caramel latte and a cold brew with vanilla and a splash of heavy whipping cream and she still couldn't do it. I corrected her twice and on the third time making my drink the shift leader finally stepped in to do their job instead of correcting her from the very beginning. The reason she continued to mess up the drink is because she didn't like that I corrected her but when your a paying customer shouldn't you get what your paying for? This was a huge disappointment and I will never be stepping foot into that location again. I will also make sure to spread the word on how unprofessional and messy the stores condition was in that day. If there's three employees working with no line there should be zero excuses for orders being messed up three times in a row, store looking disgusting and unfriendly staff. If Honey Dew Donuts was on that street i'd choose them over Caffe Nero and that says plenty.
