Generally has good drink and food options, and nice ambiance. However, customer service is average.

Takoma Beverage Company has perhaps the best kouignoù amann in DC. Their other pastries, prepared food, and service are good too. Their indoor seating is casual, wood-trimmed, and shared with inventory, and their outdoor seating requires reservations although there are always public benches available nearby.

Food is ok but service is slow. We were told while being seated about a 90-minute time limit, which was fine. But it took quite a while to get our order, and then were told by another server that we had 10 minutes left before we had to leave. By my watch we had at least another 45 minutes left, but we were not terribly disappointed to leave early. I doubt we'll go back.

Always tasty and a friendly vibe. Plenty of outdoor seating, and it's sheltered, if you want to dine outside.

Food is great, awesome selection of beverages and a very nice outdoor patio as well. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Didn’t catch her name, but a server even gave a great recommendation in the area. Will definitely be back!

The staff in this place are rude and seem to have an issue if you are Latino. My sixteen years old was there yesterday and they not only took 15 minutes to have his coffee ready, after they forgot about him, but they wanted him to move to a smaller table on an empty area. Unfortunately this is not the first time we have been mistreated so we won’t be returning to a place whose culture is not of respect for every individual.

Good for a coffee to go, but not to eat at. Unless you plan to eat on your lap on a bench, do NOT go inside to order. After standing and waiting for 20min for our food we were politely booted from the outdoor seating. It may not be obvious but you need to sign up for this customers seating.

Also, poached egg sandwiches need to have the egg on the sandwich not on the side. It just spills all over the paper container and no way to soak it up. Or, better yet, poached egg does not belong in a sandwich and works with dishes that has a slice of toast or potatoes to soak it up.

Great staff, great coffee, great drinks, great food and great management because the way they have adapted to all the challenges of quarantine has been impressive. There is a distanced outdoor seating area and the online ordering system works flawlessly through a QR code. It’s nice to see them at the farmers market now as well. All the staff are friendly and kind and it’s wonderful to have BevCo in the neighborhood.

I've been here more than a couple of times. I agree with a lot of the other reviews, this place has an awesome cafe atmosphere with really good coffee and specialty drinks. The surprise was the food. When I ordered, I expected pretty simple cafe quick bites, but was pleasantly surprised with excellent food. The baked treats on the counter are really good as well. Highly recommend!

Welcoming atmosphere and reasonable prices. Great selection, I highly recommend the smoked salmon sandwich.
