Eat Sprout - Saint Michaels

Finally awesome coffee downtown in St Michael’s! I’m currently having a pour over Mexican Chiapas, yesterday’s latte was great and day before my cappuccino was well made and delicious. It’a a big space but feels cozy and the barista is super friendly and helpful (and dog friendly)-great vibe in here. Food is top notch as well, coffee cake and chocolate babka hitting the spot. Sprout uses beans from the Night Kitchen in Denton, I think they’re a few notches up in terms of creativity and flavor compared to the other local spots. 5 stars-definitely worth a stop, or several!

I haven't actually been to this location, but to the Easton one. Since they have the same menu I figure it would still be helpful to include here.

The meal portions are just right, with lots of fresh colorful veggies and light on the oil and fat. They accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free. I dig that they aim to use simple, local and/or organic ingredients whenever possible.

My favorite meals are the thai peanut chicken, with deliciously marinated chicken, crisp fresh veg and a vinaigrette worth every drop. This past weekend I also had their bahn mi wrap which was fantastic! It is plenty of food for the price, great balance of meat, veg and carb, and tasty even without the sauce (though I def used that sauce).

Baked goods - the Greek sourdough is fab toasted and buttered! The strawberry "brownies" are rich but balanced by a zippy strawberry topping. I have also enjoyed their babka, coconut-rum muffin tops, and coffee cake.

Beverages: Viet coffee!! It is sweetened with honey and adds nice complexity. Sometimes it is a little sweet for my taste, but I pour it over ice and let it melt a little and it is great.

They are mostly about prepackaged meals, only make acai bowls to order. They can microwave the other foods. I am still rating 5 stars because the food is top notch tasty, healthy, unexpectedly unusual. Lots of vegetarian choices, but something for everyone.

Great place to visit looking for food, any time of day, for all kinds real fresh food and drinks including coffee and snacks from responsible sources. It tastes great too!
