Coffee Beanery Ocean City 94th St

Hmmm... Where do I start? The inside of this place is insanely chaotic. Everywhere you turn, you'll see another menu item. There are birthday decorations scattered about. This would be forgiveable if the coffee was tolerable. When we ordered 4 coffees, they handed them to us but they weren't sure which ones were which so we just had to try them all to figure it out. That was hard to do though, since 3 out of the 4 tasted like battery acid. I think my friend cried a little when she sipped them. Mine was also supposed to be decaf but came fully loaded - caffeine and battery acid special wasn't listed on the menu🤷‍♀️.

The one star really emerged when I tried to use the bathroom. They are locked and covered in difficult to read signs. But if you peer closely enough, you'll be lucky enough to see a plethora of nasty messages informing guests that bathrooms are unavailable. Pretty sure this is illegal in places that serve food? Idk, not an expert. One message informed me that if I "didn't speak this language, you can't use the baño." Love to see a little xenophobia mixed into my morning beverages.

Went here nearly every day for a week and the food was always good, staff were friendly and asked me if I wanted some of the coffee beans I bought grounded. Only issue was an order being messed up at one point which meant waiting a decent bit for my food.

MIXED review-good coffee but check prices and receipts

Almost accidently bought an 80 dollar bag of coffee(not realizing its imported-no price tag), we thought the server tried to scam us because we had to ask for a receipt and couldn't believe the total.
I think the coffee bags should be tagged if the prices vary that much, we were told the range was abour 14 to 16 bucks for the bags of coffee not realizing we grabbed an 80 dollar one (imported from Jamaica?)
The owner allowed us to return the coffee and was nice but the staff member who took our order got it wrong and was not very friendly, to be fair its hard to find good help anywhere anymore lol
It was a miscommunication followed by a misunderstanding but coffee is good and owner was nice enough.

It's a good place with nice people. Problem is the line went out the door and it was an hour wait to get served. I just wanted to buy coffee beans but couldn't wait. Had to leave empty handed. Maybe next time.

When back again. So much better. They were extremely helpful and the service was excellent. We had a benefit car show for a 4 year old with brain cancer. The owners at this place donated an incredible amount of money and effort to make this event a success. I really think the world of this place and if I could rate them higher than 5 stars, I would.

Absolutely love this place! It’s the best! It’s been part of a family tradition to stop here with my grandfather when I visit for the past 10 years! And when I’m not visiting, he comes almost every day for coffee and receives the absolute BEST customer service. The staff, owners and employees alike, have always been professional, kind, quick to service, and charismatic! Rena has always been especially exceptional! We plan to continue the tradition of stopping at the Coffee Beanery for many years to come! Thank you all again for such amazing customer service!!

Coffee was good. I ordered an Espresso Machiatto with a caramel flavor shot and almond milk. Hot and fresh. Staff was friendly.

I do, though, recommend going somewhere else for breakfast. I ordered a bagel, egg and cheese sandwich on an Everything bagel with avocado and tomato. All out of tomatoes (mind you this location is in the parking lot of the ACME grocery store), which ok for me, but I hope they took that as a cue to grab some for other customers.

After placing my order, I was advised that they were out of Everything bagels too. I opted for an Asiago bagel. Egg was fluffy, but bagel was cold.

Great, local coffee shop. Line takes a bit too long, and the staff seemed to not be in sync at all. However, that could be isolated and doesn't reflect that the product is lovely!

It's OK, coffee can be hit or miss. Same for the staff, some people are super nice others not so much. But all and all, good alternative to Starbucks.
Fall 2022 Update! 5 stars, coffee is much better

Owners were amazing , they let us park in the lot as long as people behaved. Coffee and bagel sandwiches were amazing. Alot of respect for the Coffee Beanery

Awesomeness! Great coffee and service under one roof. Warm atmosphere and loyal local customers that know where to get a great brew. Will definitely return when we come back.
