I've really enjoyed coming here to fuel up for difficult weekends. As someone primarily eating low-carb, they have excellent omelets and their cappuccinos are divine. On weekends with too much work I'll order from Uber Eats, which of course leaves the "fresh" factor up to the driver. Still, this cafe makes amazing coffee and delicious food.

If there were more then 5 starts I'd give it to Java. I have tried all types of food here and coffee. The food is so unique and delicious! One of my top 3 local coffees as well. Just go get anything here and you'll see what I mean.

A hidden gem of perfect coffee and great pastries. The soups are great too. A full bar is a nice addition! Very friendly staff and clean premises. Definitely would visit again!

Nice place, quiet, good study spot. Popular and lots of people in and out but not excessively loud. It's a little chilly but I'm always cold. Food is really good and great portions - I was expecting one papusa and got 3!!!

Hands down best food and coffee in Kensington- and not just because Kensington has very few worthwhile dining options. The egg sandwiches are fresh and outstanding. The papoosas are unbelievable, and overall the food is fresh and exceptional even by comparison to Bethesda/Rockville’s many options. Atmosphere is a bit utilitarian for my taste- it’s not very warm- some comfy cafe chairs would add a lot in terms of potential to linger- now it’s metal tables lined up in a row more conducive to a solitary working lunch than an enjoyable meal to linger over or a cozy cafe to chat with neighbors or read a book. But it does have an upscale decor and is very clean. A bit slow and sometimes no answer on phone. But overall, a great local place and one of the best places in town for sure!

I ordered the French toast and coffee for breakfast today based on the good reviews. However the coffee was only half filled and the French toast had hardly any coconut flakes and was missing the strawberry crean cheese. Very disappointed.

One of my favorite places to work from. Coffee is good and the muffins and pastries are good too. I just had my first pistachio muffin and it was delish! The pupusas are a great lunch option as are the empanadas. I haven't yet tried the salads but they look good and are sizable too. Its usually pretty quiet and the wifi is reliable for hours of working. The music isn't too loud or annoying either. They even have a few tables outside in case you want to get some fresh air. Highly recommend.

Great simple hot coffee. If you're here to sit a while, the chairs are comfortable enough but not cushioned. Mocha was poured nicely but a bit on the milky side despite smallest menu size.

Great menu and outside seating.

I stopped by to buy a few sandwiches today— they were out of sandwich rolls.
I arrived hungry, in a hurry- typical busy day scenario.
It seemed odd to me that someone wouldn’t have walked to the nearby Whole Foods to buy Sandwich rolls.
Honestly- I’ve worked as a cook in a restaurant and there were many times that we had to send a member of the kitchen staff to the nearby supermarket to buy a needed item.
Today I needed to buy six sandwiches...... a package of rolls costs less than five dollars...... I had to admit that I was surprised..... and I left hungry..... after calling everyone at home to say that we were now having pizza. Very disappointed with today’s visit.
