Stopped in for a quick breakfast on vacation and really enjoyed it! We got an omelet, a breakfast sandwich, a latte, and a fresh juice, all of which were delicious. The omelet was generously filled with mushrooms and goat cheese, and served with delicious breakfast potatoes and a small salad. I love a place that puts well dressed greens on a breakfast plate! The breakfast sandwich was better than most, with house made sausage, nice sharp white cheddar, and a delicious aioli. The English muffin tasted house made, as well. The carrot aid juice (carrot, apple, ginger, lemon) was good, although I would have preferred more carrot. Overall it was a lovely breakfast!

First time here and a wonderful experience! I had a hot chai tea latte, lemon coconut scone (not pictured because it was yummy), and a order of pupusas (2 spinach, 1 chicken). Significant other ordered pupusas as well (one of each) and a golden latte.

Both drinks were delicious. The chai latte had earthy tones, fluffy foam, and a sprinkling of nutmeg on top. The golden latte best shows the barista's craftmanship with the lovely topping.

I love pupusas and JN's are hearty and satisfying. Served with a side of special slaw and their own sauce.

Check out this local favorite whenever you can!

Nicely set up, good coffee, nice smoothies and great food but, man, is the staff unfriendly. They act like they hate customers! Would love to be able to support a local business but to be treated unpleasantly every visit just makes it not worth it.

Initially I was hoping that this place would be my "go to" neighborhood breakfast spot but the last 3 visits there has been one problem or another. The one thing that is a constant though is staff bringing to your attention that they expect you to enter a minimum of a 15% tip while you are paying however they don't seem to have the inclination to lift a finger to earn it. Examples - before the recent addition to the buzzer that they now give you for when your order is ready, you would have no idea when your food was ready. They would call your name a couple of times but if your were conversing at a table outside and couldn't hear them your food would just sit there on the counter getting cold. Make sure you leave that tip though. Now that they have the little buzzer hand outs, I saw what I thought was my breakfast on the counter but my buzzer did not sound. After about 5 minutes I went up to see if that was indeed my order and sure enough it was. Half of the tables were unoccupied on a slow morning and expecting to be buzzed was too much to expect. I also needed to remind them that I STILL had not received the plain coffee that I had ordered. This was met with an attitude. Previous visits were ordered item missed and a 25 minute wait for a carry out breakfast sandwich. Don't forget that tip though, they faithfully remind you to "complete the transaction". Today was my last visit, I won't spend another dime there.

This small business cares about its customers! Yes, I’m a regular. Seriously good coffee, awesome soups and friendly efficient service are 3 reasons why. Java Nation doesn’t take it’s success for granted. Continuous improvement shows!

So embarrassing that I've been driving by this place for years and just assuming it was yet another coffee shop with a few pastries. Turns out they have a great food menu for breakfast (assuming there's a lunch and dinner menu too). Healthy choices and interesting choices. Food was well made and well presented. Nice places to sit indoor and outdoors. Glad I finally thought to stop by. So much more than just a coffee shop.

Excellent food, drinks, and atmosphere. We love how community-focused Java Nation is at this location and the larger location up the road.

Have gone several times now and enjoyed the handcrafted nature of their menu options. Worth a visit if in the mood for comfort breakfast food, a tasty drink, or both.

Located in the same shopping center as Strosniders Hardware Kensington and Five Guys Burgers.

Love this place! The food is delicious, the guava & cheese croissants, the Brie & fig, the omelets…everything

I love their delicious food, friendly and excellent service, and pleasant atmosphere. Great gluten-free menu options.

Consistently slow service and way over priced (coffee refills are $2, add avocado to sandwich is $3, etc)
