I'm sorry, but I've been here about 5 times since relocating to Waterville. Every. Single. Visit. has seen me waiting upwards of 6 minutes for a single cup of coffee. No, not espresso. Just brewed coffee. No, not massive lines or busy times either, only. 1-2 folks in front of me each time.
It goes like this: you place a simple order, hoping to grab your coffee and post up on a couch or hurry off to some engagement. Then you either sit or amble around while your drink is prepared. THEN somehow an inter-dimensional wormhole opens to suck a percentage of your life away. I would pop in here all the time to grab a cuppa while going about my errands, but only if I didn't have to leave a ten minute margin of error.
Prices for food are a little high, too, but the real kicker is how it always seems like the first time they've ever put together a cup of coffee. A shame! I'd love me a really café in town I felt good about going to, not a silhouette of one.

I'm not entirely sure why this place has such great reviews, honestly, but apparently, most of Waterville is getting something from Selah that I'm not. I've been here a handful of times since it's been open and have never been very impressed with the offerings, though I seem to keep trying in hopes of improvement. This last time has pretty much made sure I'm not going back. Service is great, I will give them that. Employees are all extremely friendly and nice.
However, the food is bland and disappointing.
I ordered a caprese melt, and it was brought out to me quickly. Within five minutes I had it, which was great. It was basically cold, though. I think caprese melt, and I think at least a semi warm sandwich. The cheese was basically cold rubber, and I have to wonder if they had one premade and just sitting there. The bread was so hard it might as well have been used to make salad crutons and I hurt the roof of my mouth trying to bite into it. It's kind of a wonder that I didn't cut myself. I can get a better caprese sandwich at Starbucks for half the price. For 13 bucks, I expect something way better than what I got. The small handful of pasta salad on the side wasn't any better. I understand the term al dente, but I kind of feel like this pasta was pushing it.
Their bubble tea is super bland, and I keep ordering it whenever I decide to give the place a try again. However, it's never gotten any better.
Nice place, nice staff, nice atmosphere, but their food is ridiculously overpriced and certainly not worth it.

Amazing, fantastic atmosphere, pleasant place and good service. Decent GF options for whatever your taste is. Great place to study or relax.

Nice relaxed atmosphere and great homemade food. The coffee and tea is some of the best around.
When they ran out of a sandwich that I had my mind on, they catered to me by customizing another one to be similar.

I enjoyed the fact that we had a larger group and found a table with no problems.

The recent price hike pushes locals out of the market in favor of Colby students. Combine this with portion sizes that leave something to be desired, and you too can spend 17$ on a meal and still be hungry. Very disappointed in their opportunistic greed.

Great atmosphere large menu but intimate cozy feel. Well prepared and thoughtful staff. If you live close you should frequent this cafe!!
