I received a gift basket from this establishment at Christmas time. I'm writing my review at this late date because I recently had a conversation with someone else who had a similar experience.

My basket had two dented boxes of pasta, two plastic to-go containers of pasta sauce - one tomato and one bolognese, and one chunk of parmesan cheese. There were no ice packs and nothing to keep the sauces cold. They were room temperature and had been shipped from Maine to California with nothing to keep them cold enough to be safe to eat. The parmesan cheese was so old and dry I could barely shred it. Everything still had price tags on it which is tacky (and way overpriced).

So I had to throw the sauce out because it could have had bacteria growing in it, most of the cheese had to be tossed because it was so rock hard. I would never buy from this place and am deeply disappointed, given the price tags, that the person who gifted this to me was ripped off. Buyer beware.

A really great butcher with a curated selection of beer, snacks, and other foods. We had fun perusing their store and selecting some delicious meats for dinner.

Nice meat market, but they have so much more than meat! We love the salad mixes and goat cheese they sell. Even found some Pappadew peppers, which I have been ordering on line because stores don't have them. We never leave without some cookies and baked goods with a latte. Today we tried a slice of Stromboli...it was awesome! Everything they sell is top quality and the staff is great.

Amazing store! Delicious, high quality smoked meats, cheeses, sandwiches, baked goods, bread, wine and beer. You’ll feel transported to Tuscany!

Used to spend a few hundred a month in Bleecker and Greer, when the staff was outstanding. Quality of life went up with great products and intelligent kind capable hardworking people there. However, now they have a walk up window with a passive aggressive store clerk, who told me I could sit in my “car download the app to do online ordering which would be easier for me, and she doesn’t need walk around and shop for me.” Nope - outta there folks. I might go back when there’s a vaccine or just enjoy the other businesses in the area with helpful capable employees.

Here is really a hidden gem. You should really come here to get some awesome food and good service. I love sausage and they have some amazing Thai spiced sausage which is just out of control good. The parking is decent and location isn't bad. The space inside is a little tight but they have lots of items to choose from. This is certainly a place you should check out.

Service was brisk and pleasant, but the "Jerk Chicken" on flatbread was sinewy, (and purple from the blueberry chutney, which made it look...unappetizing), and, at $12.50, grossly overpriced. And if you don't want beef or pork - or a vegetarian option - it's the only choice. Never again, B&G.

Sure, they have choices, many items that you just can't find on the Mid-Coast of Maine. Great selections of breads as well.
Some staff were approachable. But I must have rubed one staff the opposite way.
I had asked if I could take a few photos of the cheeses. One staff said sure, and I explain why, for friends and clients to be able to select choices. I then took one photo of the cured meats and this other staff asked, "what are you doing?" I explained that I wanted a picture of the meats. She then quickly asked "why are you doing that?" She did say they have a list of meats.
But I really felt grilled for a simple action that I had already sought permission ahead of time.
Though place.

Totally impressed with just how much they can fit in such a small area. Fantastic meat varieties. Purchase Granola, Dark chocolate covered ginger and orange. (ps... found out they will ship dry goods 😀.)

The best granola I have ever had. Cooked / toasted perfectly. Not clumpy so easier on the teeth and dentures. Not raw! Expensive ingredients and perfectly mixed.

Chocolate covered ginger and orange is delightful. Not stingy with dried fruit inside.

Wish I lived closer to there.
