The Proper Cup

Mayhaps the most proper cup of coffee I've had the privilege to experience.

Wow!!! My favorite place from my Portland trip. Breakfast sandwich was great and coffee was amazing! Their mask policy is the greatest I’ve seen since this pandemic started and they enforce it! If you’re anti mask don’t bother coming here.

Can’t understate enough how awesome this place is! The Baristas are very professional, nice and efficient. They serve some of the best espresso and coffee in Portland, hands down. They even remembered my face after a month of not coming by, thanks friends 🥺

Most delicious maple oat latte! Super friendly staff (smiles and warm welcomes at 7:30am!) and the cafe has a beautifully curated ambiance. Will visit again from NYC!

My new favorite place for a great cup of coffee in Portland. It's a little outside my normal orbit around town but worth the extra steps. Very comfortable. The coffee is fantastic. Quiet enough to work, private enough for a job interview.

When I write a review and give it 5 stars I mean it and this time it's for the coffee. The espresso was dialed in wonderfully to bring out the bright fruity flavors. It's worth coming here for your cup of joe. My husband and I drove from New York to Maine and we are picky to begin with when it comes to espresso. The 4.9 stars don't lie.

This coffee shop is perfect for early risers. They offer outdoor seating, and provide spectacular espresso beverages. The staff is very friendly and passionate about what they do. I would recommend to anyone who loves a good cup of coffee.

A great little cafe.

I quite literally stumbled upon The Proper Cup by accident, and I'm glad I did. It has quickly become my favorite coffee spot in the area, due to the prices, atmosphere, and quality of product.

I usually get the mocha latte, which is delicious and packs a punch. I've also tried a few of their pastries, which always look delicious and always seem to be rotating. They do a lot of tarts and fruit pies, as well as cake and even a few savory items.

Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this place. Definitely check it out.

The Proper Cup lives up to its name; I've had multiple excellent lattes here. The baked goods are solid though nothing special, and the seating is plentiful though not especially comfortable, but when it comes to coffee, these folks know what they're doing. If your top priority in selecting a coffee shop is the quality of the coffee, The Proper Cup is a great choice.

I am 99% an espresso drinkers and love me some gooooddd Espresso. I Ordered a Honey Lavender latte. This was one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. If you love coffee come here!
