The cutest coffee shop in Portland. The only coffee shop where I can consistently get a croissant (a big ask in this town apparently 😝). Their drip coffee is consistent and fine.

I do not recommend their espresso. They pull shots and leave them sitting for many minutes until used. They’ll serve a macchiato in place of a cortado. Pedantic, I know. But important.

Coveside Coffe is a great addition to the back cove of Portland. The interior is a cozy space with what looks like a seating area that is soon to be available, however there is still plenty of outside seating.
We ordered an Iced Maple Latte and an Iced Mocha, and both were very good! Despite it being very busy, the wait wasn't too long. This is a great spot to grab a coffee when you're in the neighborhood.

Lovely addition to the coffee shop scene here in Portland. The space is clean and relaxing; the staff is very friendly; and the pastries are wonderful. We're huge fans of the knish (pictured).

What a wonderful little coffee shop! The drinks are crafted with perfection (hint: be sure to check out the turmeric chai!), the people are wonderful, and the space is so cozy and welcoming. We enjoyed a variety of drinks and pastries (oh my, what a knish!), and found a comfy couch and chairs to bask in a sunny window. Honestly couldn’t have picked a better place!

Really delicious soup- super expensive but it is good. Just don't bother coming if you're a tea drinker. The (irritated) barista explained that they use their coffee maker for hot water for tea so the water never actually reaches a boil so the tea isn't able to steep. It would be nice to get something other than tea-flavored hot water and to not be treated like you're requesting something completely ridiculous when you're paying like $4.50 for a tea.

I adore this coffee shop. everyone is so warm and kind, the space itself is super inviting and the coffee is amazing! (I love the Nutella latte). as well as their soups!

I got the Cozyside latte, and it's phenomenal! There isn't anything I'd change about it or my service. I'd never been here before and wish there were a couple more lounge chairs so I could sit and not feel like I was disturbing someone else at a table, but I understand the square footage doesn't leave alot to work with.

What a quaint and cozy little coffee shop. Good parking, on a quiet side street. Just what I needed to start my day. I'm visiting and would rather go to small, independent coffee shops. Good cold brew and yoghurt parfait.

Nice little coffee shop, uncrowded seating options, including outdoor seating. Refreshing artwork that supports democracy, justice, and inclusiveness.

Coveside Coffee opened in 2021 around Portland’s Back Cove area, quickly becoming a great addition to the delightful coffee scene in our little city. It took me a few months to make my way there, but now that I did I cannot wait to return soon. Hopefully by then they’ll allow indoor seating! Unfortunately this wasn’t allowed as of January 2021 due to Covid.

Parking: 5/5 . They have a huge parking lot with plenty of marked spaces.

Vibes: 5/5. The indoor area is absolutely adorable. It’s out of a magazine. Like I said above, I can’t wait to come back and just spend an afternoon indoors just doing some work or reading a book. The outdoor area is spacious as well — they have a deck with a couple of wooden tables and chairs. They also had seat heaters for the winter.

Service: 5/5. The people working here were so nice, welcoming, and just friendly. I felt at home as soon as I walked in.

Food/Coffee: 5/5. Although the prices were a bit high — I paid a little over $13 for a soup and a latte — everything was delicious. Their homemade soup was perfect during a cold winter day, and servings were generous.

All in all, one of the best coffee shops in Portland, off the beaten path.
