Absolutely wonderful selection of quality kitchen goods for the cook in your home. Very friendly staff. I loved the linen selection. This will be my new "go to" for such items as I prefer to support a local business over a corporate conglomerate. They have a very organized Covid-19 protocol to keep everyone safe. Cannot wait to visit again!
Overall, this is a nice store, but I continue to be perplexed that there is never anyone to help on the floor. There is usually 2 or 3 people at the desk cashing out, but they never seem to hit the floor to answer questions. I spent 15 minutes looking for a cocktail shaker (not located with martini glasses) and finally had to interrupt at the front to find they were downstairs in the wine section... ? I guess I'm just a service oriented person, so when I go into an expensive store, it seems reasonable that a sales person would be available on the floor to help out.
Best place to buy kitchenware. I never leave empty handed. During the warmer months there is a discount and closeout section on the upper floor of the building. The only carry the highest quality products. Everything I've bought has lasted at least 7 to 10 years or more.
If I could rate the coffee only, I'd give it 6 stars. The coffee is excellent - several varieties that I tried were excellent. Fresh brewed, great flavor. (And yes I drink it black.)
The store is nice, some of the stuff is a bit overpriced. The upstairs area is mostly knick-knacks that you can get at similar Maine/BH area gift shops.
Downstairs has some nice (although small) selections of wines, cheeses and breads. Staff is friendly, but very busy.
COVID-19 update - While the store sign asks for facemasks, the store itself is very tight (no way to socially distance) and they do not limit the number of people they allow in.
Rooster Brother is one of my favorite places on the planet. Great coffee, great deli, amazing treats and imported foods and don't even get me started on the cooking supplies. And of course, the folks working here are so lovely and kind. Whenever I get a little break from being a mom on a Saturday, I go to Rooster Brother for a brioche sandwich, cappuccino and as much chocolate as I can fit into the basket. I love this place!
My first time visiting here. The description of their specials is mouth watering and I keep meaning to try them. I wanted to try the Mediterranean sandwich, but I went on a day that was turkey. However, the turkey that they used was so melt in your mouth moist. It was very good!
Love wandering through the store and everything in the Cafe is always delicious. The stream and picnic area is a great spot to relax and enjoy a coffee. Come early if you're looking for fresh grab n go. They sell out quickly sometimes.
