Heading off from Boothbay Harbor the wife says "stop for some ice cream if you see a place" - boom a quick turn into Blanchard's and what a great find! Located inside a beautiful old barn, there are an array of great homemade ice creams made right on the property, nice clean bathroom and plenty of places to sit and relax. Plenty of choices besides a basic scoop. Frappes and other variations plus a full coffee and breakfast items. If you are driving by - stop in and give yourself a treat.

The ice cream is ridiculously good, some of the best I've tried and that says a lot with all the various ice cream places here. The staff are extremely friendly, the place itself is nice and the menu is much larger than I expected. Highly recommend!

Incredible people, great service. Mind dazzling Ice Cream. This is the hands down best ice cream ever and very reasonably priced. They also have the cleanest bathroom I have ever seen this far out. Would absolutely recommend. Totally worth it.

We’ve been to a lot of ice cream places around Maine, and this has to be my favorite. Very creamy, thick ice cream. The Italian Rainbow is amazing!

Blanchards could be a popular stop but your hours are terrible. If you just want to be known as a touristy seasonal ice cream spot then don’t change. But with your great coffee’s and breakfast sandwiches you are missing out on all the daily working and commuting traffic that could sustain you year round. Sorry we missed you this morning .
