Red Cup Coffeehouse

We were in Boothbay for a getaway and we are so grateful we discovered this gem on the first day. We then proceeded to come here for four days in a row. Truly some of the BEST coffee we’ve had in years. The pastries and grilled cheese are also to die for. I’ll be dreaming of this coffee until I get it again next time!

Looking for quick bite and your afternoon coffee? Check out Red Cup! I had the Parrot: Fresh sliced turkey, avocado, cucumber, & cheddar cheese served on home made sourdough bread with maple mustard. The combination of maple mustard and avocado was *-:=3 (chef's kiss). Paired the sandwich with a cup of their cold brew and I couldn't have been happier. Definitely will make a second stop this trip.

The BEST blueberry muffins in the world!! I know that may sound like a bit of an exaggeration but I do not like any cooked fruits and this is the one cooked fruit muffin I will eat. We bought 8 muffins and inhaled them in one morning. I wish they were around when my husband and I got married in Boothbay Harbor in 2016! We would’ve definitely used them for breakfast. I look forward to our next visit.

The espresso was one of the best I've ever had. The Almond croissant was delicious. The service was excellent and the staff friendly. It is a very quaint shop mixed in amongst all of the tourist pipe shops right in the harbor area. A very pleasant place to stroll.

This coffee shop was awesome and charming. The owners Dan and Silvia are so welcoming and so fun. You can get coffee to-go you can get iced coffee they also have cold brew coffee and they can make you whatever you want... to eat and drink there. Silvia made a homemade carrot cake with a lemon glaze top that you put whipped cream on that was just so fresh and out of this world. They also make other muffins and croissants and things of that sort. There's coffee that you can buy by the pound to go, they have games that you can play inside, and it's open welcome and friendly to all. They are clearly a young married couple but it was noticeable that they had a gay friendly flag out front and we always support those types of establishments and thought that it was very nice that they did that and support that population.

Absolutely wonderful place. Food is amazing, coffee is superb, and they are so welcoming and friendly. 10/10!!

While the coffee is the obvious draw their egg sandwiches on fresh bread are spectacular. They are fresh and delicious with melted cheese and a variety of toppings available. Their Covid practices are also top notch and online ordering works flawlessly. Highly recommended!

If your nearby this is the place to stop for a satisfying cup of coffee. Made to order with a variety of flavors. Making this my morning stop.

Simply put, Red Cup was amazing, everything you’d need in one place. The coffee options are great. I had a couple of Dirty Chai‘s and they were really good and consistent. The pastry options were phenomenal, I highly recommend the cinnamon roll with berries. The service was personable and the folks there were super polite. Sandwiches were fresh, local, and portioned well. Definitely making a stop every time I visit Maine. Highly recommended.

If you're going to spend some time in Boothbay you should definitely visit Red Cup Coffee House. It's the best comfy place in town where you can just sit back and relax on their comfy couch drinking a great cup of coffee, eating some of the best sandwiches/bagels in the area (sesame bagel with veggie cream cheese and shredded carrots is a MUST! ) or if you're in the mood for dessert they have carrot cake (best in the world) or blueberry muffins (LOTS of Maine blueberries) and other homemade beverages. Don't forget to let your signature by drawing on a piece of lumber :)
