Downshift Coffee

We stopped in as we traveled home from Acadia to Massachusetts and I have to say I was made the best latte I’ve ever had (and I’ve had plenty!). The bike shop was super awesome and I loved the bike themed chandelier. Staff was extremely friendly and warm. What a pleasant stop for some much needed caffeine. Cheers!

Really good coffee here. Also, I ordered a slightly off-menu thing (mixed hot chocolate and chai tea, both of which *are* in the menu). Not only were they happy to try making it, it came out really well.
Stop by if you want some good coffee or similar drink experience!
Also, the bikes are cool :)

This past week I tried this place with a friend and I 100% recommend!! My husband and I have both been trying to find a coffee roast we both love so I brought a pack home and he LOVED it as well! The coffee and treats are great, the service is wonderful and it is overall a great place🤍 If there were a 10 star option, I’d give 10 stars ⭐️

Downshift Coffee is the absolute best cup in the area! After being in Bar Harbor for a week and looking for good coffee we were happy to find them on our way to Portland to leave. GREAT coffee shop in the a really cool harbor town. The bonus was that just like everywhere else we went the staff and customers were awesome people to hang out with! WORTH the detour!

Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Delicious espresso—not too light, crisp, well-balanced with a deep finish. Gorgeous. Just the right accompaniment for strolling around downtown Belfast.

Without a doubt, the best lattes in town! I highly recommend a lavender oatmilk latte if you can't decide. The folks who work here are all incredibly kind and knowledgeable. So grateful they're here!

This should be a must go-to coffee shop if you’re ever passing through Belfast. Had the pleasure of stumbling upon this place and trying their latte, espresso, iced chai, and chocolate chip cookie - everything was excellent.
Didn’t catch the name of the owner, but he used to bake professionally and it shows. The cookie had a delicate crisp texture on the edges with a softer, yet still firm center. They roast their own beans, and use double ristretto shots which give a sweeter, creamier taste. And the oat milk used for the iced chai is made from scratch. They just opened this May, so only offer take-out at the moment, but it’s definitely worth making a pit spot in Belfast just for this place! Definitely coming back again.
