Not too many places in the south to get decent coffee outside of a Starbucks (not saying Starbucks is decent coffee) This is a great place to go when visiting Monroe Louisiana.
There is Something to be said about good old southern hospitality. This place has it.
I got the velvet ice mocha. I the Added an espresso shot floated on top! ** UPDATE** it was supposed be 5 star not 4 star! I changed it!

My traditional Americano was okay. What really impressed me was the bagel egg and sausage sandwich. 💗 Really nice atmosphere here with lots of plugins for your phone and computer. It is a great place to hang out.

Came in to pick up a DoorDash order at 7pm and not a single employee was behind the counter available to assist. Everyone that appeared to be working was sitting around the sofa in the corner, and I heard an audible “oh” from one of them as if annoyed I showed up.

I’m not normally one to leave a negative review, but the entire interaction left an awful taste in my mouth and I just wanted to share.

Friendly staff, beignets were delicious, coffee great as always and nice decor.

Coffee was good but their customer service is lacking. I waited to order (drive up) and she asked me to wait… and again wait…. And going by her attitude, she was not all that thrilled that I was there. Finally was served. The funny part is that there were no other cars in drive up and few in the parking lot. It was 2pm

I was super excited to learn that PJ’s was coming to my hometown. But I’m very disappointed in the customer service. Still great coffee, but the product is tainted with baristas who have a visible attitude on their face when you walk in or who steadily ignore serving customers waiting on their order their drink that’s just sitting behind the counter. I was hoping we would get this straightened out after reading other reviews, but it’s only getting worse and I fear it hasn’t been addressed. Can we please train employees to make their job a priority while clocked in and enforce shift leads to direct workers back to working instead of chatting with their friends?

I would give a Zero if possible…
My mom ordered dozen beignets and two coffees (Mardi Gras king cake coffee and skinny latte) it cost around $40.
They handed her a coffee cup with the “dozen beignets” in the cup… Each of them were about the size of a quarter.
It was so shocking, I thought she was joking when she handed me the cup.
I asked: “what’s this”? She replied “the dozen beignets”….!!!! I was actually speechless bc I realized she was serious.
If I would’ve been in driver seat, we would’ve not taken ANY of it or paid a dime. The coffee was mediocre at best and tasted nothing like king cake and the skinny latte was nothing special-I didn’t expect it to be.
I will NEVER be back and make sure to let others know to at least NEVER get the beignets.
Castor and chicory & delta biscuit better are where it’s at just no drive-thru but the beignets are actual beignets… not “silver dollar beignets” or whatever they were supposed to be.
Save your money go to our gourmet local places and be happier.

It’s like a purple Starbucks with the quality of CC’s coffee, so pretty decent. The staff were please t for it being so early in the morning and the touch screen ordering system makes it easy for those that not morning people to order.

UPDATE:
I’ve upped my score from 3 stars to 4. Pj’s has overall improved since my original review.

They still lack speed, coordination and accuracy when delivering orders. Improving to always deliver orders in a timely and accurate manner would earn my 5th star.

Pro tip: Their take on a Frappuccino, the Granita, is the best coffee on their menu. Outside of tasting delicious, its 4 shots of Espresso are enough to power through any slump.

ORIGINAL:
The coffee is good. Staff is friendly, though overwhelmed. I waited nearly an hour inside for my order and had plenty of time to observe.

Here’s the big problem: the manager. He treats customers arrogantly and does not help his staff when they are overwhelmed with orders.

Poor leadership is tanking what could be a great coffee shop.

Message To the owners: please hire a better manager if you want your business to succeed!

The coffee is great however when you purchase a large mocha cappuccino for $6.41 and you only get 2/3 cup of product it’s VARY EXPENSIVE
I purchased a small coffee at McDonald’s and poured the complete cup in PJ’s cup just to make a full cup 😡
