Excellent coffee parlour just on the outskirts of the French Quarter. Top notch service and fare in a relaxed, well-appointed, and extremely clean atmosphere! Had the spinach quiche and limoncello mascarpone cake. Both were excellent! The cake was just the right about of sweet. If I had to add a small critique - the coffee I got was extremely hot! Be careful when taking that first sip but otherwise enjoy yourself.

Spacious coffee shop that's great for solo visitors and group gatherings. The menu is simple and well laid out. One negative thing I must say is that during my visit, the shop was very smoky and had a heavy burnt smell that stuck with my clothes throughout the day.

A lovely spot! The staff were very friendly and helpful, coffee was delicious, and food was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit to this local gem!

A cafe like I haven't seen before. When you walk in you're greeted with the aromas of fresh brewed coffee and spices and good soundtrack. This cafe has a unique touch with pretty good pastries, I had the apple turnover and the coffee is great. It has couches that were elegant and cozy that make you wanna stay longer; just like the service does. Great quiet location and an outside patio.... Wish I had a place like this back home. ☕️❤️

Great food and coffee - one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Reasonably priced and super friendly staff!

The owners are quite lovely! Everything on the menu sounded amazing. The foodie in me wanted to try it all. Sorry I missed out on the crawfish quiche :( . Nevertheless, the food was absolutely delicious and the entire vibe of this hidden gym was extremely welcoming. Perfect place to start you day! Please don't leave New Orleans without stopping here.

Backatown is my go-to spot around the city for just cooling while on my laptop. Way more spacious than your average coffee shop. Decent-sized food and drink menu. Very clean. Open layout. Music might as well be from my own playlist, while not being loud enough to compete with my headphones if I have them on. Friendly staff. There've been times where they brought me another cup of coffee, no charge, just...because. That's service.
Owner is almost always there. Cool, friendly brotha. Oh yeah, they're black-owned, so a bonus. No dedicated parking, but savvy drivers should be able to find somewhere close.

This coffee shop is beautiful, spacious, but yet cozy at the same time. The prices are reasonable and the coffee is great! I had the Miel iced latte and the raspberry grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was really sweet, I couldn’t taste the cheese, but I think if it was less jelly it would have been a tab bit better. I definitely plan on returning to try more things on the menu. If you’re a local who do not live within walking distance, prepare to either park for free far away, or pay to park. That’s the only “bad” thing about it. Nonetheless, geaux check it out!

Amazing Black-owned cafe! The staff is super nice! The young ladies suggested the iced lavendar coffee with oatmilk which is now my new favorite! It is so refreshing! The grilled cheese with raspberries is soooo good and the blueberry muffin is bomb!
