The Broken Bean

The Broken Bean is a hidden treasure in Minden. The teenagers that work here are definitely what make this place awesome. I’ve picked up times before, but this was my first time stopping in to actually sit.

I had questions about the weekly soups and various items and the young lady was so sweet in answering my questions and giving suggestions.

Also, my meal was delightful! I had a grilled cheese & crawfish étouffée. I’ll definitely be back again to try different items on the menu!

Cute little coffee shop with a purpose- the coffee shop is worked and ran by Adult and Teen challenge of Louisiana to help addict turn around their life and give them a hope for the future. The coffee is really good and they have good lunch options as well ! Easy to pop in and pop out. Highly recommended

We ate there this past Saturday. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting and the staff were incredibly pleasant.
The food was absolutely terrific and the "Bean Sauce" is TO DIE FOR.
I cannot recommend this place enough and it will now be in my regular rotation of places to eat. I just hate that I hadn't gone sooner.

This place is amazing! Wonderful menu with lots of options for both food and drinks. Prices are fair and average. Atmosphere and service is outstanding! You should go there!

Such great service. Friendly and super helpful. Supports a worthy cause. The atmosphere is fabulous I could spend my whole day there. Breakfast and lunch items available. They roast their own beans which you can purchase as well as other items made by the people who work there that support Teen Challenge.

Coffee was good, service was just OK, environment could have been really nice and inviting but something was off and it was chaotic and off-putting instead.

I love what this small business stands for. I love the values they hold close to heart. Hands down the best chicken salad I’ve ever had! I also had a raspberry lemonade and my daughter had a unicorn shake. Everything was delicious! Friendly, helpful service in a clean and cozy place! We’ll definitely be back soon!

Dining room was Cold
Ordered biscuits/gravy

The plate was out of freezer seriously ice cold
So took it back they stuck in microwave ( which just cooked biscuits hard)
When I got it back plate was still cold

Coffee was very bitter
So my first time wasn’t that great

Nice place the decor was good
Staff was friendly

I got the pineapple snow cone with kiwi boba toppings. Delicious and the boba is spread throughout the cup. People working took a little longer than anticipated.

Wonderful atmosphere here, the sweet coffees are lovely, my taste of straight espresso was not to preference(lacked crema, was little more than weak coffee). Lovely service though, with an inviting atmosphere; I liked it here a lot.
