Perks Coffee & Cafe

Horrible food for expensive. Half our table was served their food and the other half waited an additional 40 minutes. Guests that came in far after were served before the other half of our table was. Once we finally had enough waiting, we tried to get a worker’s attention. The girl working while we were here (10:30-11:30 and going) (glasses and hair up taking orders with green shirt) heard my family trying to get her attention, turned her head, then continued walked back to the kitchen area. Everyone could tell she purposely ignored us. We the. Had to get up and walk after her. She never turned around, and we had to get another worker’s attention that was preparing food. We ended up getting the rest to go. The girl came back over and apologized for forgetting our other family member’s food, but it still doesn’t make up for this experience. Will never be back.

Service here is great. People are friendly and happily answer any questions. Flavored lattes are a bit too sweet, even after asking for light sweetener. Food is delicious and ingredients are very fresh. They also have bendy straws which is cool. Overall a great experience!

Everything about this place checked all the boxes for me except for the food. I had the smoked salmon toast with an egg on top. I feel like if they had toasted the bread for just a bit longer this would’ve been a great bite. The edges were barely crispy.

But then I had a couple bites of my partner’s hash wrap and had to stop myself from devouring the whole thing because it was so yummy.

My coffee was some delicious caramel blend that I got as a recommendation of the lady working the register. Sweet staff.

If it’s peak time, be prepared to scour the streets for parking, since there’s no lot attached.

***They have a drink menu that offers alcoholic breakfast drinks for cheap - I didn’t snag one, but I’ll be back to try that $3 mimosa.

Every cup is made to order. Perfectly tasting. Nice variety of options.

This is our favorite place to go to Sundays. We've had many things on their menu and every time the food is excellent. The atmosphere and friendly counter and cook staff also keep us coming back. Thank you, Perks people, for keeping it such a nice place to eat and drink coffee.

I asked for a veggie wrap and they put meat in it. Also, gave me a grilled cheese sandwich with slices of cheese not toasted/melted at all. Also got a carton of Mac and cheese that tasted like cardboard (probably sat in that carton way to long). I never review places, but this was not right.

Their bowls are very good. Good coffee and good breakfast before a flight!

Prices are incredibly inconsistent. No prices match the menu. When you get your receipt sandwiches will be $2-$3 more per sandwich than the menu. The cashier does not tell you this when you are ordering. So when you get to the window, something that according to their menu should have been no more than $17, is now $26. It's completely dishonest and feels like they are scamming you. Especially when the turkey on white sandwich you ordered is now $12 (instead of the $8.75 listed on the menu) with no sides, and no drink.

Overall the food is pretty good and i like the coffee. However the inconsistent prices (which sometimes seem to increase depending on the cashier) are unacceptable. As stated before it feels very dishonest and there is no effort to warn people.

I will not be going back to this location. Based on my experience here I would not recommend Perks to anyone.

Delicious specialty coffees and one of the best shrimp and grits dishes in town... Goat cheese galore! The food is actually so darned good I decided to eat here for my birthday brunch. The staff is always polite, friendly and accommodating. They made me and my guest feel really special for my birthday!

The places was nice and calm. The drink I had was pretty good. I enjoyed the view and the cute touch with the flow on each table. The chicken sandwich was good. Sadly they don't have grits after breakfast. Over all I'd come back for for a nice lil book reading or a cute cafe.
