Excellent experience here. And just the restaurant for a breakfast meeting. Food was exceptional I highly recommend the waffles with a special syrup adding a topping of strawberries along with maple-bacon trust me you cannot go wrong with this combination... The area was quiet and very conducive to holding a small meeting of four.

Would have made this a 5 star a few months ago, but last 2 visits have shown that the food is going downhill fast. Old/cold/overcooked would describe my last breakfast there and old/stale/soggy describes my last pastry item (on a completely separate visit from the breakfast, several weeks apart). I hope it improves again soon, it used to be amazing!

I always like the food at La Madeleine. But something has happened at this location. Every time I come here it’s filthy. The sliced lemons for iced tea are in a container that’s so unbelievably dirty it can’t have been washed today. I ordered a salad, and the person who made it went from sweeping the floor to making my salad without washing her hands or changing the glove on her one hand. Every table needs cleaning. The floors have food and bits of paper on them.

A customer here brought a jacket to the counter that someone had left. The cashier didn’t thank him and said, “Just put it on the counter.”

I’m disappointed to say I am not ever coming back to this location. It’s disgusting.

Terrible experience! Ordered at the counter and proceeded to wait ( on the bench by the takeout counter, front and center) for my order (just the half sandwich,soup,salad). It was 11:30 didn't seem very busy. I felt like I was quietly ignored. After numerous people came and went picking up orders and no one acknowledging me, I approached the counter and asked about my order, oh yeah it was ready, seemed to have been ready and if I would just wait for the people that had come after me then I could pay for my order. I decided that was enough and I left without my lunch. I must mention that I am also 9 months pregnant, maybe slightly emotional but still hungry and deserving of decent customer service. I will not try this establishment again or recommend it.

Tiny sandwiches and forgot the chips yet again. Sad that they charge this much for food only to get a kids meal worth of food. Don’t waste your time, go make a sandwich at home for cheaper.

Went in to order two omelets to go... It took about 20 minutes and though I expected it to be quicker, I wasn't complaining. The place wasn't busy and there was no one in front of me so I did wonder what was taking the food so long. The hostess was nice enough to offer me a $10 giftcard because of the wait though. Totally unexpected and a very nice gesture to make up for the long wait. I enjoy La Madeleine's food and this longer than normal wait certainly wouldn't have prevented me from returning, but the nice gesture makes me want to return to this location in particular.

I am sorry to have to write this but my family visited our location last Friday and it was an awful experience. The service was just not there at all. The lady who prepared our soups put bacon on my husbands soup after I had told her several times no bacon, cheese only. Then another associate cut me off walking to the restroom and then let the heavy door slam on me. Just very inconsiderate of the customers. We have visited many times and never had service quite this bad. I feel like some new training needs to take place and rejuvenate the employes. Corporate please help our Mandeville, LA location.

Great casual atmosphere including a fireplace. Large variety of entrees, desserts and drinks. I had a french dip and my husband had an entree similar to a shepherds pie. Both were delicious. Will definitely be back.

I can not believe how they are letting this building go down in Mandeville, La. Came today and roof is leaking right by the food. Corporate needs to look into this location, very dirty.

The pastries are good but the fruit tarts are a little weird now. They have the fruit set up in straight lines (like latitude lines on a globe), instead of concentric rings. This means you can’t get some of every fruit in every slice. Please go back to the old way of arranging the fruits in the tart!
