Stellar Beans Coffee House & Edibles

This cute local coffee shop was probably my favorite thing I got to see while I was in Lake Charles The staff was great, and they had lots of dairy substitutes available.

Free parking on the street, and parking lot on the east side / to the rear. Atmosphere was very welcoming. The lady working the counter was friendly. I had a regular cold brew and it was tasty. I didn't try the food, but it sounded good. If you're in a hurry, this may not be the best place to visit. Otherwise, a nice cafe.

Took a 30 minute detour from our trip to try and support this small business only to get disappointed by the service we had. Bought 2 coffees and 2 baguettes. Got coffee and waited for baguettes only to be told that we couldn't have baguettes without receipt. So if you go here get your receipt to show what you purchased.

Space themed coffee shop with a unique vibe. All dishware was handmade by a local artist, and they sell his pottery and the work of other local artists as well. Had a delicious vanilla chai.

I am all about small, family owned businesses. This one gets it right every time. Their breakfast sandwiches are delicious and the coffee is on point. I love that they're dog-friendly.
I would also note that they seem to be very willing to give back to the community. I didn't ask about it, but they seem to have some kind of program that involves picking up trash as payment for services. So kind.

This is a Great coffee shop...the atmosphere is wonderful, the live music a piano/keyboard player he was really good. The food is absolutely Delicious...the beniets'were the absolute best I have had (So light they melted in my mouth)😋and I have been to New Orleans several times. I will definitely visit again🤩🤩🤩

I was passing through Lake charles from Beaumont and I needed a quick caffeine rain. So I looked for the "best coffee house" in lake charles and stellar did not disappoint. Its located in downtown LC. My barista was Caitlyn and she was full of life. She recommend the snickerdoodle (?) For my latte. It was great. Had also the chocolate muffin which complemented the whole coffee experience. Atmosphere is very inviting. Service was fast. Caitlyn is very knowledgeable.

Such a great experience. Food was delicious, coffee was great, environment was very welcoming. You could tell the owners and staff take very good care of their store, and I thought the community corner was a fantastic idea. The only recommendation I have is to fix the door automatic closer at the front entry. you can see where the door doesn’t fully shut so the fan switch remains on, blowing cool air on the tables close to it. It’s possible that they’re a tenant and that may be a historic building, there might not be much you can do because of code, and some things you’re just stuck with. Either way, awesome experience, great job to the staff and the owners, and I let the person at the front know they did a great job. If I am ever in Lake Charles again, I’ll be sure to visit.

They make really good coffee drinks! My son and I have been a few times so far and their beignets are very light and fluffy. I only give 4 ⭐️ they need more help, especially during peak times, as well as more drink options.

Great atmosphere and good coffee. Loved that there was a local artist out front making pottery. Its cozy with diverse options in seating. I'll definitely be back next time I come through Lake Charles.
