Firehouse Cafe

We had a wonderful time visiting with family. Had relatives that came in from out of state and firehouse cafe was our meeting place. The service was spectacular as well as the hostess. Thanks for a wonderful evening everyone.

Purchased a medium sweet potato fry & was charged $20 accidentally. I was credited back & charged the correct amount. I waited a good period of time for my food only to discover that they were out of sweet potato fries. I had to get another credit applied in addition to having my time wasted. It took about 10 days to get my money back & within those 10 days a manager was supposed to call me due to my credit taking so long to apply. I never received a call back.

Excellent home style cooking. I am visiting from out of state and discovered this little restaurant. Their lunch plates remind me of the menu for family BBQS we had as a kid when I lived in Louisiana. Good flavor. If you can - arrive at eleven am so you get it right when they start serving. It is hot off the grill at that point in time.

Not so good food and not so good service today. Today we ordered fried fish and fried shrimp poboys with onion rings. The batter came completely off shrimp, fish, and onion rings lacked flavor, and there was only one fish filet on a poboy bun.
When asked how we liked the food I told her my complaints and she didn't even apologize. She responded I don't have anything to do with what goes on back there.
I was very disappointed in the food and service, because our last visits the food and service was wonderful

Great township and staff. The plate lunches are very reasonably priced. The portion size will have you napping before you go back to work. Good Job FireHouse

We ordered firehouse cafe through waiter. I ordered a shrimp poboy. My wife got a fish poboy and my son got chicken nuggets. There was something wrong with every meal. We already thought it was over priced but we thought maybe they were one of the places that give really big servings so we agreed to it any way. There were a total of 8 shrimp on the shrimp poboy. The fish on the fish poboy was undercooked (which is hard to do as thin as the fish was) and the chicken nuggets were burnt. We didn’t even eat the food and I can promise that firehouse cafe will never get my service again.

Look I don’t leave reviews but I feel it’s an obligation to say something. The service was wonderful. I ordered 10 bbq pork steak plate lunches. This was some of the worst bbq I’ve ever eaten. No sesoning or bbq sauce and the rice dressing was basically rice with ground meat. Do yourself a favor and order something else. 🤮

Great food and awesome service. My server Amanda was just the sweetest.

Nice quiet, quaint, diner with a great mom and pop restaurant feel. Had a great breakfast here, really reasonable prices and the staff was as friendly as can be.
