Quiet and relaxing with friendly staff and great coffee. Most of the customers appeared to be Garden District residents, with a handful of LSU students. There's plenty of space inside and outside to read, study, or catch up with your friends. The outdoor patio area is clean and cozy, with some tables covered by a wood awning so you don't bake in the sun. Prices were very fair. They also sell several varieties of their own whole-bean coffee roasted in-house. Overall a great place to satisfy your coffee fix for people all ages.

I live within a mile, and have been many times now. Great spot. Great coffee and some excellent desserts and food. Strong mix of long time local residents and students, and a really friendly group of people. Always friendly and quick service

Garden District Coffee is great! They always have fresh baked goods that are delicious, and you can get all kinds of coffee and tea. I really enjoy sitting out on the patio area, it's really beautiful at night. Also, their frozen coffee drink is super yummy and super caffeinated! The staff has always been very friendly as well :) two thumbs up!

This place has improved a lot since becoming Garden District Coffees! The atmosphere is really great and it is always busy, though never loud. The crowd seems to be a little more mature... more professors, artists, and businessmen than students. The baked goods are wonderful and the coffee is usually good. Wide selection of teas. The baristas are quick and polite.

Classic coffee shop that does everything well. Beans are roasted in house regularly, so their characteristic medium and dark roasts are rich and flavorful. Limited food options--mostly super-sweet desserts like slices of cake. Plenty of space and wifi for working. The outside patio is big and pleasant, though you may way to steer clear if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke.

Usually pretty calm, inside is really clean and pretty. Out side seat is available, awesome area but lots of mosquitoes.
Lots of options to chose from both meals and drinks.

This is my neighborhood coffee spot, but I would still come here if it weren't so convenient. I occasionally come in for a drink - I love sitting on the patio with a chai latte on cool nights. But more often, I buy beans here. The coffee is solid, and the ambience reminds me of a 90s sitcom coffee shop. It's not fancy or artisanal - just good coffee. The only thing I don't love is the food. There are a lot of sweets (and Naked Juice), so if that's your thing, you'll love it. But if you're looking for something more hearty or healthy, you'll be out of luck. But overall a great place to grab a cup of coffee with friends or by yourself.

So far, my favorite coffee shop in Baton Rouge. It's got a great atmosphere, tasty pastries, and delicious coffee! Their pecan coffee is my favourite! It's simultaneously super flavorful but not sweet! Love!

One of my favorite coffee shops in baton rouge. The smell is fantastic as you enter the place. Service is great. Good for catching up with work in a quiet place away from work or for meeting friends.

I really appreciate Garden District. Its wifi may be slow, and it may only have the *third* best coffee in Baton Rouge (Magpie, Highland), but the service is great, there is usually plenty of seating, it's quiet, and it's open both early and late. When Magpie is packed (almost always), and I don't feel like driving to campus, Garden District is always there, calling my name. Thanks, GD, for holding it down.
