this place RULES!! every time I visit my parents I make it a point to get some beignets and coffee here. very no nonsense and friendly staff. don't wear anything black though because you are guaranteed to get powdered sugar all over yourself lol.

The food was ok. I expected it to be more like Mothers in New Orleans when I saw the menu. I got The Baton Rouge poboy and I think the mustard on it overpowered the poboy. Beignet fingers were good. The atmosphere was ok but if you sit by the entrance door it is a long way to leave your food alone to get a to go box. I feel a station type setting near the door would be awesome.

Absolutely delectable! You can never go wrong with beignets and cafe au lait! The dining room is adorable and well kept. The service is hit or miss, but the kitchen staff is always on point!

Cafe au lait was great and hot. Plenty of hot tea options for my wife. First experience with beignets for my wife and daughter, we all loved them. Much better than cafe du monde in New Orleans. I ordered 3 and went back for another plate of 3. Quick counter service and beignets came out hot, crispy and fluffy. A true delicacy. I've had them at many different places and they really have a great product here!

One of the best beignet stops in Baton Rouge. Open late too! Plenty of seating and service is always super friendly. Coffee is delicious. 2 things I think would take it to 5 stars: 1) larger coffee selection. 2) more breakfast type food options. I'm not complaining though, this place is a Gem! Love it!

I love beignets and the touch of coffee was just what it needed. Do try them out for those delicious goodies. Let me warn you about the ghost face after all that powdered sugar on your face. Instead going for traditional beignets ask for the thins and crispy kind. My favorite.

We are in Baton Rouge for just a few days. We had a huge lunch and didn’t need supper so we stopped here for a nighttime snack. Just perfect. The beignets were perfect as was the cafe au lait and hot chocolate.

We had a local tell us about this place and we did not know what we were getting ourselves into! There was so much passion and knowledge from all the people that worked here. They define the rich culture of Louisiana hands down!!!!
Before I tell you how awesome this place is this is a great place to get information for great spots in the rest of the city. They definitely know what's going on in the city, know about events, know how to get around easy and just all out all the Good Eats there is in Louisiana!
They let us try the Beignets before we actually had them since we never had them before. We were simply looking for a coffee place and just did a random selection on Google search. I'm so glad we picked this one over all others. The actual location is all off in the corner by itself and I have no clue why because this is one of the best kept secrets in Louisiana!
They give you just enough powder the Beignets were A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! I kid you not! We were in the French Louisiana times I tell you. The venue is great and plenty of spaces to sit with plenty of sunlight ambient sounds and people checking in on you at all times. It is very easy to make a mess with all the powder in the way they stack it up but that's okay because it is so good and well worth it.
They have good old school coffee cups and mugs to make you feel modern but still nostalgic. You can tell that it's been a family-run business for very long time. I don't know what more to say except GO THERE NOW! Have fun

Coffee Call is a Baton Rouge tradition. I have had the pleasure of experiencing both dine-in and take-out beignets and coffee, and each visit has been pleasant. I've dined in with my family where we sit at the large table and enjoy a good catch-up conversation. The gentleman who was clearing the tables also made the experience very nice...he chatted with us and was very humorous :) I've ordered at the drive-by window when it was raining (I noticed that the view from the window was super nice...we got to see the beignets being fried up close).
Once, I even emailed the owner/manager from Yelp to inquire about buying a Coffee Call signature sweatshirt as a gift. We conversed and set up an exchange. Again, it was a very pleasant experience.
I would recommend.
