Friendly staff, decently priced food with nice portions. Well stocked hand sanitizer at all exits. It's not your traditional tourist trap in Louisiana.

Best red beans and rice I've ever had. I live in the area and expected the food to be bland tourist food, but I was pleasantly surprised to find the food was excellent!

Had the sampler and it was wonderful! Red beans and rice, sausage and chicken gumbo and crawfish etouffe. Small bowls but too much for us to finish, took leftovers with us. The restaurant was a bit warm. They offer outdoor dining.

Ideal place to have lunch! Gumbo was exceptional....the best I've had in a long time
The staff was very nice and courteous. And now that you can enjoy the outdoors in air conditioning AND on their porch...this place is perfect AND a vegetable bar of your pickings to personalize your Bloody Mary drink???? Heaven on Earth!!!!

We visited on Good Friday and enjoyed the Bloody Mary bar as well as the servings and choices available. Ok I get it, its a cafeteria line which I dont really care for either but the staff was very friendly and helpful and surprisingly the food was pretty good. We had the sampler platter, red beans and sausage and both were well seasoned and the portion size was good too. Oh did I mention there was plenty of hot sauce for dressing?
Recommended for our next trip to the area!

The food choices were quite disappointing. My husband tried the boudin po boy, and I stick with a salad. Both lacked in flavor and we ended up leaving half of everything on the plate. My father in law got the machoux, which ended up being the only good tasting dish we sampled. My husband, a native to Louisiana said it was a horrible example of Cajun cooking.
The gift shop was cool, but we won't be going back to eat.

Absolutely a horrible experience. The food is a pitiful excuse- the worst. 4 chicken nuggets were the size of small rocks and they were hard as rocks for $4.50. The nacho chips were stale, the cheese cold. The employees were rude and could have cared less about our concerns. "To bad this is what we serve". I spent $40.00 for one nacho order(10 chips, cold cheese) , one nugget order (4 stale nuggets and a bag of chips), pork on a stale bun and crawfish chow ( at least edible) and three small drinks. The absolute worst; they should be ashamed of themselves for serving such disgusting overpriced stale (food). I am from New Orleans and this was an embarrassment to our out of town guests. The 3 1/2 hour drive there was a complete disappointment. The tour...... Pitiful.

Our first visit here was by chance several years ago and we have returned many times by choice. My wife and I crave the crawfish etouffee, and the red beans and rice. Oh heck I like them all, and with all the varieties of heat available on the table I can go extra wild with flavor. We also make a habit of cruising thru the Jungle Garden each spring when we can make the drive down.

I got the Buffalo cauliflower. It was great and there was a lot to share!

The food was delicious, but the best part of the restaurant is the service. We had a situation that needed to be taken care of, and the manager took fantastic care of us.
