I come here semi frequently, and the coffee is great most of the time. Sometimes the coffee has a burnt taste but what can you do. Very friendly staff. Prices are a bit steep as well but it is the highlands

Fante's coffee has cars and coffee on the third Saturday of every month until November, let me tell it is AWESOME! The staff is very friendly and the environment is inviting. Their coffee is roasted in house and it's delicious. They have cute travel mugs, regular coffee mugs, and bags made out of coffee bean sacks all for sale. They have breakfast, lunch, and desert available. They were also raising money for the Make a Wish foundation when I was there and they did a great job getting people to donate. Definitely worth the trip, you will not be disappointed!

So I don’t know how this place flew under my radar for so long but this is my FAVORITE coffee shop in Louisville. Atmosphere is excellent, coffee is seriously the incredible, and their seasonal drinks are super creative. I’ve had the chance to meet Leo Fante and also Richard. Richard actually saw me checking out the roasting room and invited me in and told me all about their roasting process, where they source their beans, and all the ins and outs of the coffee trade. Such a cool and down to earth dude. I love this coffee shop and would highly recommend it.

Fante’s is a great spot for coffee and tea. I’m not sure if they serve wine right now due to covid, but before covid they had wine as well. When it’s warmer outside, there is a nice patio to enjoy. The location is great, right by Cherokee and Seneca park.

Went in this afternoon to grab a snack, and there was a man hanging out by the counter - sitting on a stool in the middle of the shop, talking out loud at the top of his voice. I thought at first he was someone experiencing homelessness who they’d let hang out for a bit, or part of some sort of employment outreach program. Either of those would’ve been fine, but nope - he was the owner of the coffee shop.
I am completely serious when I say have never had a coffee shop visit be more negatively impacted by a single person before. He was running his mouth non-stop about how successful his shop is, how fancy the coffee is, how much he’s travelled, how the shop is a “European coffee shop” (I lived in France for 14+ years; Fante coffee is not a European coffee shop). He was shouting out to people randomly as they walked in, talking so loud you couldn’t hear the barista, and blocking the flow of traffic to and from the counter. Overall the most unpleasant, arrogant caricature of a small-business owner you can imagine.
I cannot imagine how annoying it is to be a worker there when Leo Fante visits. Massive solidarity with the baristas & workers at this place, bc I bet they aren’t paid enough to deal with that. I tipped 25% on my order and probably won’t be supporting this man’s shop in the future.

Great service! Excellent drinks and delicious pastries! Love the Exotic cars and coffee events! The pictures taken are no where near the best cars that showed up

What a quaint little place😌
The environment was nothing you would see of a normal franchise setup.
It felt homely, warm and full of character.
The variety of different beverages you can get here felt like a different experience per cup.
Nothing you'd get from Starbucks for sure.
If you're looking for something that feels like you're at home or on a cozy vacation house, then this place is for you.

You go to a coffeehouse for the coffee and their coffee is wonderful!
The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is generally pleasant.
If you buy food, you might not be as pleased, as in my experience it has been a disappointment each time: stale scones, bagels that could pass for stones, and gloopy sandwiches.
Ignore the food and enjoy the coffee!

Overall, a very neat place to visit. The staff is friendly but not overly attentive (which might appeal to some and not so much to others). I used their print service, but the printer was jammed so I had to pay double what I had anticipated.
